Brisbane Roar Head Coach Robbie Fowler has made the first addition to his squad for Hyundai A-League Season 2019/20 with talisman Roy O’Donovan signing on in Brisbane orange.O’Donovan, who arrived in the Hyundai A-League in 2015, has scored 39 goals from 80 appearances across four seasons, establishing himself as one of the league’s top marksmen.
The former Irish U21 international and Premier League striker will be an important addition for the Roar in Season 2019/20 and beyond, having signed on for the next two Hyundai A-League campaigns.

I was pretty sure that was it but it did get to 4:30 before there was an announcement, and it was my passive aggressive way of complaining about how late in the day it was before they did make the announcement even if I was 99% sure who it was going to be anyway :laugh::laugh::laugh:

looks like Jay O'Shea is in a tug of war in England. Shame, he looked very promising. 

O'Connell looks more like the signing Id expect. Spent many years at Celtic, suggesting there a lot of unreached talent there, despite coming from league two. Still also 23. 

Yeah but he is no Daniel Sturridge (who is still without a club according to wiki)

Sturridge will most likely end up at Rangers, the HAL can’t afford his wages. 

I’ll be impressed if O’Connel is announced - that would be some fine detective work by supporters lol (last seen when someone on these pages picked Mikklesen last year)

I'm not really surprised, both are probably solid squad players who have shown flashes of their best without doing it in a consistent manner, they might just both need a change of scenery to achieve their potential. Good luck to the both.

Hopefully we can get better players for those spots.

still think that this means we need at least 4 more senior signings in addition to the 8 they have announced to round out the squad until January.

otoole, powel, readon as the 3 u23, 8 new signings, mauk, pepper, bowles, hingert, young, dwh. that is 14 "senior" players. 1 will be a keeper and you might say otoole is good enough to be a senior player so save cap space and get another really young guy in the squad on minimum spend. but that still leaves 3 outfield players we need to sign hopefully of starting quality.

I think 4 more is about right. Including one visa player. 

So the O's are in lol.
