I can’t be concerned because there’s no evidence for it; equally I can’t be optimistic because there’s no evidence either; 

Fowler has a plan - all the visa players he’s signed he’s seen play, and there’s some very good players outside of the EPL in England. We might have found some, or they might be duds. We’ll know soon enough

Surely not necessary now that we have Hingert, Bowles and now McGing that can cover the right side of defense. I don't see Neville as an upgrade on any of them, so i'd hope the club don't waste a spot/the money on him.

Who knows, maybe Pert insisted Neville comes to Brisbane in order for them to take D'Agostino and Ingham.

Again it goes back to his he intends to set up. 

If its 3-5-2 he’ll need 6 to cover the backs and then 2 “defenders” in midfield if he’s using “wing-backs” he wont need more defenders but if he’s playing with dual 6’s (which is the more modern interpretation of this) then’ll he’ll need at least two more.

Great test first up , was expected .

It was to be fair. Better test than most A League sides and not a banana skin like an NPL side. 

I think the Brisbane Celts  will be up for this.If SFC are underdone 

Sydney will likely be in China the week before for the PSG game as well. 

The big risk for us is something like 9 or 10 players will be making their Roar debuts that night after about 5 weeks at the club; SFC is not a team to put an incoherent side out against. 

Big, Big challenge for RF. 

I’d be fine with it if it was an open draw. The rigged draw is frustrating. I think we’re past the point of needing it, tbh. Oh well. Good early test anyway.

You would hope any new manager would want to start their career with a win.  If Fowler is ambitious, he will want to win everything possible and treat the FFA Cup as a serious competition.

Going on Roars track record on how we approach FFA Cup games, this will be a litmus test for Fowler.

I like Pepper.  The poor guy has been played out of position and probably stood up better than some of the CBs last year.  Good squad player.
