So going off the team I posted a few days ago before the blitz and adding those rumours in. O'Shea listed primarily as a AM on transfermarkt, Amadi-Holloway as a CF and Inman as a CM. Young Aldred Bowles Gillesphey Neville- O'Neill-Mauk-O'Toole O'Shea O'Donovan-Amadi-Holloway
Bench: Freke, Hingert, Inman, Mells, Wenzell-HallsAlternatively Young Neville Aldred Gillesphey O'Toole O'Nell-Mauk DWH-O'Shea-Inman O'DonovanProbably think one more signing a LB/LWB. Would be thinking someone like Gersbach/Elder/Meredith/Garuccio

+x+xWhat happened to the Kruse rumour? There was a Kruse rumour? hey! me stating things on this forum counts as a rumour. i have about as much credibility as 90% of the football journos in this country. but at least i stalk players instagrams to see where they currently are before starting a rumour.

Someone here again.Lol. But so was Eighan O'Connell....And O'Shea.
It looks like the squad has no big money players. So I am hoping that leaves room for someone special. Plus who would be a leader on the field?

Plus who would be a leader on the field? If all the rumours are true (bar Kruz) then we’ve got 19 including a new reserve keeper. No recognised marquees so you’d think there’s room for one

It still blows my mind, when we have two preseason games two months after training recommences and there is still another one and a half months to go ,before the new season starts.

+xLooking forward to this season for some reason, have a good feeling 😀 Feel free to quote me if the season goes downhill quick 😁 It should be an interesting season if nothing else. We’ll get the answers to our many questions we have in due course: 1. Is Fowler a real coach or just a big name? 2. Will he get BritRoar to play good football? 3. Will the smorgasbord of new players gel? 4. Has the club given up to play the Roar way? 5. Will we end up bottom half of the ladder again? So many answers needed.

Unlike the Roarcelano way which is also good football.

Unlike the Roarcelano way which is also good football. I think one of the dangers is to think Anges Way is the Roar Way. If we play Anges way we’ll finish bottom as the style has been countered (as CCM demonstrated) The Roar Way is good football - ball at the feet, short passing, moving the ball with purpose, disciplined, and respect for the referee & opponent

I think the "Roar way" should be disciplined and versatile. Able to adapt to win games regardless of opposition. Not be pinned down to playing in a certain way. I have absolutely no issue with us playing some long balls when needed. I don't want it to be our only strategy, but I don't want us to be predictable.

We’ve had this debate on “what is the Roar Way” before. Clearly Ange has a huge influence on that but I don’t see Anges way as “the template”. There were times I was bored still watching Anges team pass across the park and backwards (thankfully out of my seat at other times) my view us each coach has to be hired with an idea on the essence of what The Roar Way is but with freedom to implement it his way. If Fowler throws up 1989 long ball Wimbledon it’s an epic fail but there has to be latitude in there. Even Ange has modified his style and formation

+xJesse Curran as been released by Dundee and is moving closer to home. would seem on form as a RF signing. Assuming we sign O'Shea I still think we are 1 midfielder odd completing our midfield (plus a couple of development players, Akbari and Lofthouse anyone), while the preference would be Luongo I don't think it is achievable and Jesse looks like he is doing the types of things we are after in a player (playing regularly at a good level).

I feel like he is going to be in for a very rude shock going from 50 games last year (according to wiki) down to 30 odd playing for us.

So we have four forwards who are aggressive and score goals. O'Shea as AM behind the other three ,who rotate. O'Shea regularly scores from AM.That's a nice change, Holloway looks to have a bag of tricks to beat defences.
Thats quite a formidable attacking force . Then you have Mauk,AON and Inman all who score goals....... So for me defence will be the big question mark, again. We do now have some lower league grunt at the back.Players who have survived and thrived in a rugged environment over long seasons. But how will that transpose to summer football against higher level visa players ,like Fornaroli ,Nonkovic and Castro from the top teams?
