+x+x+x+xThe point is the CEO at the time made a statement when the blue and orange kit was released. A statement that was even posted on the club’s official social media Twitter account. The statement was that the blue kit with orange was to pay respect to the Dutch heritage. The CEO at the time also made the statement, in an open fan forum with about 60 fans present, that the blue was the same blue as the colours in the city’s flag. Sadly poor old Mark rests in peace and the only person who would know for sure is Bossie who was Marks right hand man at the time, he now works at Suncorp Stadium in charge of corporate sales so there’s a chance someone will bump in to him in game day - they should ask. Theres also a couple of other possibilities too; the first is that the blue conveniently provides a nod to both the Dutch past and the City colours. I for one don’t believe it was a random colour choice so either or both explanations fit. The second is that Mark was a master of the marketing spin and if you wanted to believe it was a nod to the past “then it was”, equally if you wanted to believe it was a link to the city “then it was” also. Mark would smile at the thought that three years later Internet forums would be arguing over it lol. Looking back over this thread - it’s clear we’re all bored to death of the close season if we’re debating 3-year old change kits 🤪 Yeah, this was my bad lol sorry Was just wondering if we had anyone working at Rebel or something that had had the stock come in and could offer us a sneak peek! Guess we find out in a few weeks anyway Just on the kit - it arrived over the weekend apparently, club and Rebel store stock, so the launch won’t be far away. Anyone have a friend that works at Rebel so we can get a sneak peak?

+xIm taking Pourres comment on twitter that black kit is confirmed. I am hoping we can take it that way. I remember there were the promo's including black paint for last seasons kit (and everyone was hyped thinking black kit was returning), but then it just ended up being black trim on the home kit again (and everyone got disappointed). If there is an all black, i'll be ordering immediately.

+xWhat if the Roar played ALL their home games at Dolphin Stadium? It'd be hard to call them Brisbane Roar at that point.

+x+x+x+xIf there is a predominantly black jersey,I hope they only use it at night. It would be crazy to wear black in the summer sun. Honestly, I don't care if they ever wear it, but obviously the fans want it. If doing four kits means they can have one that gives fans what they want (and the players don't have to wear it if it's too hot), then I am all for it! Agreed if any one is interested you can pick up last season's shirt for $20 in the Roar shop at the moment(some limits on size), i bought a couple just so i have some comfortable shirts for working out in :), cheaper than a plain umbro shirt. Sorry for late reply, thanks, I managed to snag one.

Only risk in waiting is missing out on sizes, especially if you want a non-home kit.

Got a call today from the Roar office regarding membership. I had a membership 3 years ago but lapsed. Seriously thinking about it. Go Roar!
