Looking at Maccabi Haifa's squad it appears Sainsbury would be quite a coup for the CB position. I like this move in the current circumstances.

sticking it out at PSV wouldnt be the worst move.  have they recruited?  i heard they have had some issues signing up replacements

They're got enough defenders and they've just signed Doan and Mitroglu. Lozano has left.

“Cooper Makepeace will head to England next month for a trial with the West Ham Academy, with the hope of proving he has the talent to outplay England's top youngsters. The 17-year-old said he's looking forward to testing himself in a foreign setting.
”I’m buzzing," Makepeace said. "It's an honour being able to have a role with West Ham after a lot of hard work. "I've always wanted to go to England and play there, now's my chance to pursue it and work hard and hopefully I'll get somewhere with the trial."
The South Coast United defender earned his place in the final squad after progressing through a series of selection camps in Australia.“

Lee Seung-woo Hellas Verona ➡️ Sint-Truiden

This Belgian club seems quite keen on Japanese and Korean players. Their scouts are obviously around.

Might we ever see something similar to Leeds in the 90s? We had what? 7 Aussies there at once?

I was excited at that apparent consortium with Charlton but understandably it was definitely about money and football in general instead of an Australian fast tracking program. It'd be great if we could get some kind of deal going. Eupen seem to have it with Qatar and they're also good at getting their players some Spanish time.

cardiff manager is supposedly looking at 15 free agent midfielders for a signing soon.  jedinak rumoured to be one of them.  they have already worked together.

It would nice if they can sign an Aussie player too, they also signed an American u20 player recently.

Because he isn’t good enough.

Also why would CCM waste a visa spot on him when they’re already wasting one on McGlinchey?

“Lowy family sells remaining shares of Sydney FC to club chairman Dominic Bossi September 6, 2019 — 7.00am The Lowy family's involvement with professional football appears to have all-but ended after selling off their last remaining stake in Sydney FC to the club's chairman, Scott Barlow and his father in law, David Traktovenko. Having once been the majority owner of Sydney FC in its infancy with a controlling stake of more than 70 per-cent, Frank Lowy has ended his 15-year relationship with the club after the Lowy Family Group sold its final 10 per-cent share of the club to Strada Investments, owned by Barlow and Traktovenko.”

what's the point in owning a club if you don't control the league?

10% of 10% yeah 1%

glad someone acknowledged this fact. Let’s just turn a blind eye otherwise that the FFA has been run by one family that up until yesterday owned part of one club.

It must sting that CFG snatched control. Lol

a bigger kid started playing and they had a cry and went home.

i think they are probably too lousy to invest in a league when they don't control it.  they know that it's lost money otherwise.

“Clubs snub A-League great Berisha

The league’s all-time top scorer is back in Australia seeking to resolve his future following his release last month by J-League giant Sanfrecce Hiroshima - 13 months after joining them from Melbourne Victory. But to date the fiery 34-year-old former Albanian international has been unable to attract any firm offers from a number of A-League clubs still in the market for a central striker, including the likes of Central Coast, Western Sydney Wanderers and Wellington Phoenix.Despite his record setting 106 goals from 171 A-League appearances across seven seasons with Brisbane Roar and then Melbourne Victory, Berisha’s lack of game time in Japan may be telling against him, along with his now veteran status. He was unable to manage a single J-League minute this season before his exit, and amassed only six appearances off the bench in his debut season following his vaunted arrival from Victory in 2018.It’s understood that Berisha’s forceful and sometimes abrasive nature - a characteristic which never held him back in Australia - wasn’t as readily appreciated in Japan, where his relationship with Sanfrecce coach Hiroshi Jofuku was often less than cordial.A dual championship winner with the Roar and Victory, Berisha’s inability - thus far - to find a willing taker is still nonetheless surprising in light of his undoubted pedigree. With the season due to kick off on October 11, the clock is ticking. His best hope might be to land an injury replacement gig as the season unfolds should clubs continue to leave him off their recruitment wish lists.Either that, or possibly he could ease into retirement and study for his coaching badges.”

May well have to drop his wage demands to get a gig at one of the clubs mentioned.

Realistically all three of those teams could use him and it would appear his preference is to return here or else you would think he'd be looking somewhere in europe

According to someone on the Nix forum, they are in talks with a 31 year old South American striker.

This guy seems to be the most likely.
