Thomas Deng has been added to the squad to face Kuwait after captain Mark Milligan was ruled out.

Will be 41 degrees at kickoff.
Does this affect player selection?

+xWill be 41 degrees at kickoff. Does this affect player selection? Start with our fittest perhaps? Irvine and Amini certainly are our fittest. Maybe try and use Mabil for 45min early to get a goal or assist? It's an interesting one.

+xMilligan out is a blessing in disguise imo. I agree, he's past his best and is only in the team for leadership IMO.

yep, alarm will be set - looking forward to see how our boys go but damn that heat is going to drain the lungs. Kuwait has a huge advantage in this.

Weather isnt a problem. We are on the verge of having our greatest team ever and are competitive in every position a depth we have never witnessed earlier.

Arnie backs this up https://www.ftbl.com.au/news/milligan-loss-highlights-socceroos-depth-530755also throws in “never had a full squad at Asian Cup” reminder... lol

I reckon we’ll lose. Our Asian Cup efforts were just foreshadowing how we’ll go in qualifying tbh.

+xKuwait beat Nepal 7 nill at home, feeling an upset coming, getting the Arnie gifs ready. Meh Kuwait home or away is 3 points. We should expect to win. If our players and manager can’t manage the weather, ref or opponent it will be a disaster. what I don’t want to see however is, when we win the match, that we pretend it is such a monumental effort akin to beating Germany at the WC. its Kuwait.

its Kuwait. Sure Arnie will try and spin it that way, expecting a 2 nill win.
