Its on CA for free too. I like the free word. Actually the live stream they are showing for this tournament is virtually television broadcast quality.

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xThe Warriors have named a strong 13-man squad for their opening two List A. matches in Perth. Omitted are Mitch Marsh and Jason Behrendorff: Ashton Turner (c), Cameron Bancroft, Ashton Agar, Hilton Cartwright, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Cameron Green, Matt Kelly, Shaun Marsh, Josh Philippe, Jhye Richardson, D'Arcy Short, Marcus Stoinis, Andrew Tye. I am excited by two of their next gen..Josh Philippe and Cameron Green. Unless I am a bad judge these two will play both formats for their country. Matt Kelly is maturing into an excellent bowler too. Jhye Richardson returns.. for mine our most promising quick in past decade.
CA contracts: Nathan Coulter-Nile, Shaun Marsh, Jhye Richardson, Marcus Stoinis. WA contracts: Ashton Agar, Cameron Bancroft, Jason Behrendorff, Jake Carder, Hilton Cartwright, Cameron Green, Liam Guthrie, Aaron Hardie, Josh Inglis, Matthew Kelly, Simon Mackin, Mitch Marsh, David Moody, Joel Paris, Josh Philippe, D'arcy Short, Ashton Turner, Andrew Tye, Sam Whiteman. Rookies: Sam Fanning, Jayden Goodwin, Bradley Hope, Lance Morris, Matthew Spoors.
Ashton Agar probably feels hard done losing his CA contract. I guess if you are not playing then it does make sense. He needs an injury-free year to push his national claims. Same goes for Behrendorff. Glad that keeper Sam Whiteman is still part of the Warriors setup after missing almost two seasons with a similar finger injury that floored our skipper Tim Paine. I will be there at the WACA with bells in 4 hours time! Why isn't Behrendorff included? No doubt you have heard now why the Dorff did not play. He now plans having the same back surgery that Pattinson had. Another career spoilt in its prime. It is a crying shame. And I wish him all the best for his recovery, hopefully the NZ surgery will offer some possibilities. But on the bright side, it offers some youngsters like Matthew Kelly an opportunity to shine. Only 6 list A games so far but with a strike rate of 29.8 (ave 23.7) ! And his first class economy is 2.82. One of those quiet achievers that sneak under the radar. I have been keeping a beady eye on young Kelly for a while now. that is sure some strike rate. Another from your neck of the woods is someone Brad Hogg had big wraps on a while back.. another chinaman tweaker Hinchcliffe. What has happened to him? Good question. He's still in the Warriors squad and has signed with the Melbourne stars for the BBL. He had the one Shield game couple years back and a Scorchers game last season, but apart from that he's just been trundling along playing club cricket, as far as I know. I question this giving a young player one shield game and then nothing. Same thing happened to Arjun Nair. He may have gotten two games tho. Great way to destroy any confidence he may have. Teen Cameron Green has not saddled up for either Warrior game to date. Suppose the powers to be are keeping him in cotton wool. True, but it's a tough bowling team to break into when you have Ashton Agar's spot tied down and then a bunch of quality quicks - Richardson, Kelly, Coulter-Nile, Tye, Paris. That's without accounting for allrounders Stoinis and Mitch Marsh. Cameron Green was in the squad on Saturday but missed out on the final 11. Going to get even squishier with Marsh back in on Wednesday. Opportunities may come for Green if Richardson can regain National selection. No my point being that selectors were treading carefully with Green after his back stress injury ruined his 2018/19 season. Understandable. We dont want another Cummins saga. Yes, the bowling world does seem to be divided into the 'Rest them' or 'Bowl through it' camps. Apparently there is some merit to the old 'toughen them up by more bowling' theory due to the fact that a certain amount of slower bone remodelling is required to strengthen the vertebrae.

Horrible shot Doolan, away from his body.
A mate texted me telling me the game was on YouTube.

+xThe old WACA mate. What a collapse by the Tigers. I see Doolan failed again. DC time for some fresh blood with the bat. You have a couple of good youngsters.. one is Mac Wright.. a slow bowling all rounder. Give him a shot TCA as he has completed his Futures League apprenticeship.

+x+xmeredith looks class Stanlake looked an improved bowler the other night too Certainly fast. Looks a quick learner in this format. No batsman would look forward to facing him. Too fast, too tall, not at all comfortable to face. Imagine him bowling cross seamers on an Old WACA style pitch? It'd be carnage. Mind you, people probably thought the same for Jo Angel and it didn't pan out. But I think Billy is heading for a brighter career than Jo did.

Stanlake looks a handful with his elevation. Best suited to pyjama cricket as I see it.

He is being awfully managed. They're really scared of him breaking like Bruce Reid.

He seems to have swapped spots with M.Marsh, must have been the captain’s call to give himself the chance to get some runs I guess.

Tasmanians all of a sudden seem to have forgotten how to use their feet. And first ball of Richo’s new spell he finds his length with a beauty! Partnership needed for Tas, as M.Marsh was looking dangerous too
