I don’t get all the negativity either, yes they have to improve a lot of things in the next 12 months but then again I will expect more players to be used and more camps so the players can improve the playing style. They only been in together for a short space of time compared to other countries.
The most important thing is they have qualified and that’s the main thing, also playing Vietnam these days will not be easy anymore as they have invested a lot time and resources in improving so they are no easy beats anymore if so it’s very rare these days.

That's all excuses. You literally explained why there is so much negativity.

Just seen an article from Newcastle Herald that there’s an upcoming Young Socceroos camp in Newcastle and the team might play the Jets. Would be a good test for the u19s.

Should start at 6pm AEST I think, I'm keeping an eye on the AFC's twitter for a stream, they had a pre-draw stream with a panel yesterday so I expect they'll show it.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Winnable group but we do face the possibly of a very hard quarter final game against either Qatar, Saudi Arabia or Japan to make it to Rio.

Probably got the easier group but the Thai's at home will be tough. Dying to go to this, just got back from Thailand 3 days ago. But my mate just named the date for his 40th party and its right in the middle of the tournament :(

Bahrain had a very easy qualification group. Should be between us and Iraq. I just hope we can get all our best o/s players and A-league players for the tournament. Would hate to miss out on Olympic qualification due to our best not being released for it.

The #Olyroos have been drawn in the host nation's group at the 2020 Asian Football Confederation U-23 Championship (Tokyo Olympic Games Qualification Tournament). Australia will play Iraq & Bahrain in Pathum Thani and Thailand in Bangkok this coming January. Exciting opportunity for the Olyroos and a great tour destination for us. Tour information will be on our website soon. Register your interest here: https://ggatravel.com.au/thailand2020/ .

+xIraq has been struggling a bit lately. Is this tournament on a fifa international window ? If not will all Aus and European players be released by clubs ? Remember also with new AL structure I think maybe clubs can refuse to release players which are playing in first team.

Hearing there is a camp in Europe for the overseas players and also some A league players not likely to feature in early a league games for their respective clubs.

Currently the U19 National Team are playing Newcastle Jets. Poor guys are down 0-7.
Whoever decided Gary van Egmond should be their coach should be shot.

Tbf only 3 of the YS have made A-League appearances, and have a combined 6(?) between all of them. They’re playing against a near full strength HAL side who are preparing for their first game next week. Not particularly unexpected this result.
