I think this would be a good window to recall Holland to prep him for Jordan away. On the one hand I can't see Arnie making too many changes but he should break them up well. I'd actually go with Jeggo as well. Arnold needs to talk to Mooy to see whether he feels decent in the more advanced role. It appears promising. Next Squad:
Ryan, Langerak, Redmayne
Grant, Sainsbury, Degenek, Souttar, Susnjar, Milligan, Smith, Behich
Mooy, Jeggo, Luongo, Holland, Irvine, Hrustic, Goodwin
Leckie, Mabil, Taggart, Giannou, Borrello
I think the balance here would be fine. Maclaren would be useful in finally getting the goal tally up. Ikon isn't ready I think and I see this is a most unwelcome A League distraction. I disgree with the selection of Milligan and Goodwin is quite fortunate but I want him to get one more go. I've omitted Amini but he's bound to get picked.

I’d drop luongo for Amini and drop one of the strikers for a younger one like an iredale or something. We need to blood youth while playing these games. That’s why I’d start souttar with Degenek

Never been convinced by Holland since he played for Budgewoi. At 33 by the time of the World Cup and given that he is not an outstanding player I think we should be looking at younger alternatives. Leave Holland out and keep Amini

Leave Holland out and keep Amini I've been against him every time he's been brought up. I think we should always go on current form and skill level regardless of age. It's tricky. As long as they're playing, age shouldn't matter. Cahill aside, we've often felt it's time for players over 32 to give it up.

do you think we should be focused on a 4 year cycle squad or pick the players for now? imo unless there is a massive deficit in a position we should be steering clear of playing anyone that isn't in the picture for 2022. holland will be about 33 1/2 years old at qatar. pretty much at the end of his prime years. probably doesnt rule him out. milligan will not be at qatar. imo we should be phasing him out of the team and blooding his replacement.

At least the Nepalese will be able to get a Mooy and Ryan autograph I guess.

There are quite a few players that have been to numerous Socceroos camps but have barely had any minutes other than the odd 20 minutes in a friendly. These two games would be perfect opportunities to give 180 minutes to one of these players and tell them to go out and get results in competitive matches. I would bring in Amini for Mooy Lawrence Thomas for Ryan Deng for Degenek Brad Smith for Behich Goodwin for Leckie.

The number of times Schwarzer saved are bacon against so called 'lesser teams' I don't want to take any chances there. Happy with the rest.

As I previously said it’s always a mystery. The Socceroos are shocking for announcing this stuff. The Maclaren article said tomorrow but it more than likely won’t happen then

Rhys Williams has officially retired from international duty. What a shame his career has turned out to be with all those horrible injuries. Extremely talented and intelligent as a footballer and he'd be a top player today if he body hadn't deteriorated.

Finally. Some transparency! I’m almost 100% sure the FFA are active on these forums. Thanks for listening

Wright in? He's only just returned from injury and had match time. Poor decision. When he's fit yes but her should be given time to get back into his teams line up

Wright is also an option to cover RB in an emergency so I like his inclusion.
