+x+x+xTy. Anyone know what Spira is up to these days? Based on the most recent article I could find mentioning him, I think he might have sneakily retired. Because of those injury comments? Bit of a stretch. Anyone follow him on instagram? I heard he was in Melbourne. I would be a lot less surprised if he signed for victory or western united than if he retired. The comments like "He's trying to work out what he wants to do next in terms of football. He's been through a lot. He's had a fantastic career." make it sound like he's at least considering hanging up the boots. Considering Europe and the A-League have all well and truly kicked off and the Asian leagues are all in full swing, if we haven't seen anything from him yet, when will we?

Would take him as an injury replacement for Hoogland though, but I doubt he's fit. Appropriate though as he actually did play for Victory in 2005. Williams would also be a good get for us in that potential slot.
Given that Spira is from Geelong originally, WU would be a good last hurrah for him, and if they can get Macdonald in shape then they can do it for anybody.
But, does he want to?

+x+xRyan again not making himself big, it's been such a consistent flaw in his game for a long time and he really needs to address it. Anything fast and above waist height goes in. Totally Agree. For socceroos he did the same. Yep. That little punch into the palm he does us way too familiar.

Ruka assist Mabil assist 90 for Giannou
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Jeggo got MOTM for yesterday's match according to my app (FotMob).
A North Korean, Kwang-Ryong Pak, scored on debut for the other team.

+xRuka assist Mabil assist 90 for Giannou We've just got a lot of options now. Around 40 to 50 players even who I feel can do a good job for the national team. Daniel Garb was really into Duke and Dellbridge. Sure they're far off compared to who we have but I want to beat Jordan next month so we can slowly introduce some newbies. Imagine if we do have those 2 games to spare and we could start Elder, Folami, Duncan and Iredale! Bit of a pipe dream but seeing them in a gold shirt is great.

And dont forget - those last two games are really close to Copa America. But I agree John, if we beat Jordan away in November then we are just about through to the next stage (knowing our form at home and barring a catastrophe) and hopefully the u/23 Olympic qualifiers in january gets one or two of those you've mentioned above to really stand out and be ready to make the step up for the senior team. I just hope those players can actually attend that tournament as its not during an international window.

Epl Campbell is Southend manager. One final education for Milligan?

That's 2 goals for Luongo at Wednesday. That's a solid return with the fewer starts he's had so far.

Red Star don't have much in attack. Degenek's doing alright apart from the first goal.

Luongo went off injured.
Milligan's Southend lost 7-1 at home. They're by far the worst team in league 1 and will certainly be relegated.

Burgess full game for Salford in away win. I think they'll consolidate this season and go close to the top 6 next season. Main thing is that Burgess has minutes albeit he generally did well at the higher level being League One.
Lyden has been brilliant for Swindon this season.
Dougall has been on Roos radar before. I'd actually never complain about his being selected but it's a bit too much for him now.

Milligan should be nowhere near the Socceroos at the moment. He's playing for a basket case. Plenty of young boys around that can take his spot.
If Dougall starts the majority of games between now and the next squad then surely he'll be given a look in.

Never understood the fuss about Milligan. He runs and sweats a lot but there is very little end product on anything he does. I get the whole defensive enforcer thing but even the best defensive midfielders can still create an assist occasionally. My concern is he is best mates with Arnie and we will see him in 2022 as captain while playing in the English conference leagues.
