Salley! Man I have missed him - AUFC needed someone to do what he did, take control of the midfield. As for next season... who knows? He may have been released by the club but... Need AUFC to show up like they did against QR or it will be a walk in the park for MV. Will hopefully be watching it at a mates place on the big screen (depends on my pregnant wife! baby is almost due...) and would love to see Salley feature. Diego is being a prima donna - great player but... he ain't no Ronaldo! Cristiano is too soft, I think we will start Ago against MV again - though personally I think we should start Younis with Cristiano on the bench (maybe Ago too).

Knew that Salley came off injured - leg injury of some sort, hopefully he pulls through! What I hope is that he realises that the jeering was not directed at him when he came off, he had a blinder of a match!

Wouldn't mind Coopers getting involved with AUFC - mmmm Pale at games! Personally in the current climate would prefer not to have a real estate mogul involved - assets are not liquid enough.

It will be good to get some fresh blood as owners - especially Coopers. Bianco is about to go through some some tough economic times with his company and is also about to go through a divorce apparently. With other owners in place, it will stabilise the club. As a Melbourne supporter the only way I see a close game is if Adelaide line up like this.
---------------------Gelekovic---------------------- ---Mullen------Corn----------Ogga-----------Jamo---- -----------------Salley----Reid--------------------- ----Dodd---------------------------------Barbiero--- ----------------------Diego------------------------- --------------------Agostino------------------------
Bench- Cassio, Cristiano, Pantelis
----------------Theo----------------- --Ryall----Varg------Musc-----Kemp--- ---------------Celeski--------------- ----Ponde----------------------Ward-- ---------------ElZorro--------------- -------Archibald------Allsopp--------
Bench- Fabs, Brebner, Lopez

Only Adelaide player to score against us from anything other than a penalty in 5 matches (though it was from a free-kick), and plays down our right flank which is our weakest side. Dodd will be in Kemp's pocket again all game so having a good combination on the left to test Ryall's mettle under the most extreme pressure is a must. Beyond that they have to forget about fatty and stop Celeski if they want to hurt our midfield.

If we have any hope of not embarrasing ourselves on Saturday, we need to stop Celeski. The guy is a gun and Salley will be kept very busy if Viddie gives him a start.

Salley on Celeski & Reid on Fatty? Og & Cornflakes to hold out Allsopp & Archie? Dodd & Cassio to beat Vargas & Muscat? They sound like pretty good match ups actually, could be an arm wrestle - or very exciting!

Sadly not, no money and a baby due - will be hard enough just watching the match!

They sound like pretty good match ups actually, could be an arm wrestle - or very exciting! Dodd and Cassio will be on Kemp and Ryall respectively, if they try to play against Vargas and Muscat they'll just end up having at least two defenders on them at all times. Salley on Fatty to give him a good kick every now and then, Reid higher up the park to place constant pressure on Celeski then quickly dispose of the ball if/when he wins it. Danny and Archie v og and flakes only comes into play if you're hurting our midfield and we get reduced to long balls, otherwise they'll have a field day running in behind a slow turning defence off balls from our midfield. Most critical thing for Adelaide is for Big Sasa to take a few chill pills and not be moronic enough to get an unnecessary early yellow like he did in both legs of the semi-final, both times it really dampened his effectiveness (i actually think we scored our second goal at hindmarsh purely because of his dumb hit on Muscat early on, if he wasn't on a yellow already he would've had no problems wrenching down Danny just outside the area to save a goal).

Good call. In hindsight he should have anyway
