Grazor, I think the Aussies are bowling a few short balls interspersed with good length balls.
Wagner just copped a very spiteful short pitched ball from Cummins.
Do you think we are bowling too many to tailenders?

Do you think we are bowling too many to tailenders? nah just a few more than normal to wagner. Only a few more so its probably half hearted revenge The short ball against a genuine tail ender is big weapon to either take a wicket or make them less likely to step forward to fuller balls are more threatening

+x5 for Pat Cummins. Do we enforce follow on? I'd rather not. The pitch is deteriorating fast and I wouldn't want to chase anything on this pitch

All over red rover. Enthralling bowling display by Cummins and Pattinson. No looks like Aussies are batting again going on the speed our openers are leaving the field.

Starc looking dangerous with his 145kph short balls as he yorks Boult.
Kiwis all out for 148.
Aus must be 340ish in front.

Do we have our answer with Lyon bowling. Australia will enforce the follow on? No follow on. It might be conservative, but with only 4 specialist bowlers I think Aus batting again and Kiwis batting last is my preferred option to the follow on. Thoughts?

I have to say when you are so far ahead in the game dont release the stranglehold. Kiwis may get a brace of wickets for not many in our second. Suddenly they have a morale boost. Captains are so reluctant to enforce a follow on these days. Mike Hussey backs my call that the deck has not deteriorated all that much.

barring rain or a calamity, when we win we should play a bunch of glen maxwell like players in Sydney. At least they have less brain cells to loose against the bodyline nonsense

Boult nearly bowls Burns LBW again with a swinging pitched up ball.
Southee is shaping it into the left hander.

DC Joe Burns is another with similar Head technique. Watch how he pushes away from body at ball contact..

Anyone else think Southee’s follow through looks like Michael Kasprowic’s?

+x+xAnyone else think Southee’s follow through looks like Michael Kasprowic’s? I dont recall Kasper's follow thru. How can you? It looks like both bowlers don’t fully follow through like the three Aussie paceman and Wagner. Just noticed Burns playing an awful vertical shot outside off stump with his bat well away from pad, Baggers. Love your work, mate. Not like all those drongos on Whirlpool!

Baggers, just as they showed Boult to Burns deliveries, including the last shot, as soon as the ball moves away from him the width between bat and pad is far too great.

I think the Kiwis finally looked stuffed.
After only batting for only 148 runs, and fielding for slowly compiled 467 Aussie runs, they must be fatigued.

Just observing Warner being beaten by a fabulous Boult outswinger, Warner’s bat and pad were still very close together.

Another tight De Groundhomme medium pace over.
He must be one of the top all rounders in world Test cricket.

The last Warner Cover or Off Drive had a gap between bat and pad.
Is this acceptable for this shot, Baggers?

+xBaggers, just as they showed Boult to Burns deliveries, including the last shot, as soon as the ball moves away from him the width between bat and pad is far too great. Yep it is. Proves my point about he and Head.. Wade too.. Smith and Marnus are our most technical batsmen. Warner has improved his technique the past coupla years. The game is now in a holding pattern. When are we going to start lifting the rate or is Tim's plan to bat till stumps and send em in tomorrow morning.

+xThe last Warner Cover or Off Drive had a gap between bat and pad. Is this acceptable for this shot, Baggers? His coach will say not. But Davey has always relied on his eye and has scored mountains of runs doing that.
