I’m not sure of the composition of both teams starting elevens, but De Grandhomme seems to be opening the NZ attack.
There was discussion about dropping Wade for Swepson?
I’d love to see the wrist spinner play for Aus.

Not a bad start for Australia at 0-15 off 6 overs.

Kiwis might have got an edge from CDG to Watling and Burns would have been out caught behind, but ump ruled NO and the Kiwis didn’t appeal.
It would have been 1-16!

+xIs Baggers at the SCG? I think he lives in Sydney. No KW. I dont travel the hr and half each way these days. Like you I watch it on the box. Not sure such a good toss for Tim to win. Looks to be a lot of grass left on this SCG deck. Kiwis getting plenty of movement. DC tell Joe Burns to leave undriveable ball alone.

+x+xgame day! Glad there are no dead rubbers! I wonder how much play will be lost to bushfire smoke? Very little smoke at my place DC.. I am about 25ks south of the SCG. Expect it depends on the wind direction. Fires still blazing north and south of Greater Sydney

Just reading there is around 6mm of grass.. compared to 10mm at the MCG. So expect some wear come the last two days when the spinners may come into their own. BCs picked a wristie .. yet Swepson left out. Still where to put him as Tim wanted the same in form pace cartel as last game. Feel sorry for Josh tho.

+xnice touch the commeration for the firefighters I'm out of the country, how bad are things? Bloody awful. An area the size of some smaller European nations has been razed in this state alone. There are some 100 fires.. at least 30 uncontained. Fireys and holidaymakers are dead. These fires may last another two or three months. God help us if that is without any rain as Sydney is running short of drinking water.

As Wagner comes on to bowl I thought I saw something recently where Cummins 59 wickets, Lyon and Wagner next at 45 and 43 respectively, were the three most successful wicket takers in world cricket for 2019.
Wagner has a world class record.
But we are now 0-38 off 13 overs.

+xnice touch the commeration for the firefighters I'm out of the country, how bad are things? Dreadful! Vic has declared State Of Emergency - Labor Premier Andrews leading from the front. SCOMO heckled in southern NSW for traveling overseas and attending cricket tomorrow, when heaps of unfortunate people have lost homes and some have lost lives.

De Grandhomme induces edge from Burns, with bat too far from pad, and squared up, caught behind.
At least De Grandhomme shows a bowler can succeed at only 120kph - nice shape, line and length from the Kiwi bowler.

+xde grandhomme gets burns just before drinks he'll be disappointed with this summer i think I don't know if there is anyone better though Baggers has identified all three of Burns, Wade and Head having too big a gap between bat and pad with vertical shots. It doesn’t bode well for Test longevity.

I would have loved wristy, Swepson, to get a go.

Looking at the Fox edited replays, Aus have had a lot of luck this morning.
Both Burns and Warner have had many close shaves.

Warner nearly induces a catch in the deep from a Warner lofted hook.

in this case burns looked like he was playing a long way in front of his body. That can happen on pitches with tennis ball like bounce

I wouldn't have thought so until I saw Wagner's very good record in stats over the last few years. Unlike some of those Whirlpool cricket cretins, I take note of good stats over time. The biggest bunch of fools following a sports forum congregating in one place! Whirlpool Weight Training Forum is very different. LOL!

Going to Hawaii and the cricket isn't ideal. Stupid question, what would a prime minister normally do to help in a situation like this?

You aren't ever really in on a pitch like this and you need to focus the whole time Guessing there will be a lot of middle scores between 20 and 80 but 350 is probably still par since there isn't a lot of lateral movement
