+x+x+x+x2 why they would broadcast what it is... See there's the problem, they did broadcast what it is.... was. Both Hill and Pay are on record saying we were after marquee signings for '21. and either or both of them named names - The Turbos and earlier than them L Mitchell. That they didn't get them I don't lay blame. That they ridiculously took themselves out of the equation for Mitchell way too early and way too publicly to try and make a point that nobody got nor would've cared for anyway was just cutting off their nose to spite their face. Do you think they made any point for future negotiations that's gonna bend anyone's will? They should've stayed in the game and let it play out, might've still ended up the same but we'll never ever know now will we. Be interesting to see if any big names do become available what will be done when they realise they'll be played against other suitors. By the line they've drawn the answer is we drop out immediately. The problem is if you hold yourself so highly to think you'll never be played all it really means is you never play, I’m not sure what else they are supposed to say when being asked if they’ll chase the likes of Latrell or the Urbos, of course they’ll say they are interested in “high quality players”... who wouldn’t... but that’s not really announcing their plan for recruitment is it... As for Latrell, if I knew he was going to Souths, most likely our team did too... and they weren’t willing to be part of the circus... just like the roosters who have been praised for the same... They’ve got better things to do with their time than to pursue a bloke who was never coming here... I think they realised pretty quickly they weren’t being played by other suitors... they were being played (read used) by Latrell and co... Its different than an actual bidding war... Surely Mitchell was ceased to be an option for us when he became available in 2020 not 2021. How could we pay him?

Definite Keep - Wakeham Keep :- Elliott, Faitala-Mariner, Tolman, Probable Keep -Harper, Cogger... Let go (or keep for low $$) :- Foran, Holland, Montoya, Sue I don;t think our players are as bad as many seem to think, the problem areas IMO are all the front row - 10,9,8 followed by the halves, and fullback... I can't stress how much I think the spine players are vitally important to results, and front rowers are almost as important... not team is perfect in these areas but a premiership winning team has quality in at least 5 out of 6 of these positions and at least 3-4 good players on the bench.... All positions are important, a premiership winning team has good players in all positions or very few weak links... The 2020 season shoudl give us a good idea of who we need to recruit for 2021 and beyond, some of our young players may surprise so it is best to keep an open mind.. Making the top 8 or failing that finishing 9-10 is a good result this year, my definite expectation is top 10 fall below that and I'll revise the list above, finish top 4 and I'll keep even more players Of the players I'm letting go Foran and Holland are most likely to surprise on the upside, and earn an extension., In Foran's case that must be no more than 2 years.. and we need to consider all the medical evidence.

I look at that list and first thing that comes to my mind is who are the highest cap earners there and are we getting the value out of them and what IS that value. So on that list, I would firstly question the value of Foran and Tolman, followed by Elliott and Cogger. My thoughts are that Cogger should be kept. I dont have him in the top 17, but I think jury is still out on whether Lewis can shake off last year and further develop. He needs to. Wakeham needs to be resigned. I'm confident he has more to show us I wouldnt be signing Foran to anything more than 1 year and must also be a reduced contract. I think Tolman has served his time here and I believe is on big money and should only be considered on small contract (time and money) or send him to the next suitor (ESL) The rest, need to be evaluated against anyone out there who is available to be signed. They wouldnt be on big money and you still need to fill a top 30 so you cant dump them unless someone can take their place.

Dan - off topic here - that producer/writer of yours is at it again with his new show for 2020. From the little I read, at least there's no hiding his preferred subject matter this time. Good luck to him & all, but just not my cuppa tea... I stumbled across it by accident looking at the new UK shows for the year here : https://www.denofgeek.com/uk/tv/british-tv-drama/69306/new-british-tv-series-for-2020-bbc-itv-channel-4-dramas-and-moreThere's also a page for the 2020 UK comedy shows (they don't make them like they used to...) : https://www.denofgeek.com/uk/tv/comedy/69335/new-british-comedy-tv-series-for-2020-bbc-channel-4-sky-dave-amazon-netflix

Will check that out BN. I watched all 6 episodes of Years. Thankfully the gratuitous bloke sex ended after 2-3 episodes for shock value. I enjoyed the look into the future concept of the show but it ended with a fiz and very disappointing with such an important point to discuss and evaluate.

I know what you mean though. Too much attention to the unwanted trivial details & plenty of unanswered big questions. That's RTD... I noticed there's a new show called "Des" amongst it all. It was only a matter of time... :)

I watched Joker again over the weekend because after 1st viewing I was convincing myself it was on my list.
And that's a very short and exclusive list so you want to be absolutely sure you're not letting the moment or emotions cloud your judgement before you put just anything on your list. So I watched it again, this time with a critical eye, looking for a reason that it should not be on my list.
It's on my list.

Speaking of plagiarism - I searched on IMDB to see how many Dracula shows & movies had been made. It overloaded the search results at the maximum of 200. It's not made for a page 2 etc. A lot of the plots are as daft as can be & I guess the majority are nothing like how the characters creator intended him to be portrayed, not even close in personal attributes or in the circumstances intended. Most aren't even set in the same time era intended considering it's such an old character. Just a non stop rip off ever since.
