+x+x+xWe should try and host this tournament one day. Every 2 years there's a decent chance with the rotation. The Liberals cancelling hosting that qualification group at the last minute due to a country they didn't like participating was probably a blow to our credibility there. Was that the thing with Brunei? North Korea. We were due to host an AFC youth tournament qualification group at last, Group J of the 2018 AFC U19 Championship, it was due to be held in Shepparton which was a terrific idea and would have been a shot in the arm to football in the region, but Julie Bishop decided that youth coming together in peace to play football wasn't something she'd let happen on her watch. +xWhy can no Australian, at any level including A League, reliably cross a ball? Tommy Oar is an absolute wizard of a crosser. One of the best I've ever seen. Few years ago about midway through a season (think it was his last in Holland) was in top 3 of chances created for all players in Europe. Leckie and Kruse aren't bad crossers and Arzani's crossing is excellent. Hrustic seems to be good at this also

WTF was Mourdoukoutas doing with his defending when he gave away the free kick. Just get to the ball first and clear it, don’t worry about whether a player is offside.

Yep agree with that. Our attacking talent in this generation is super exciting but yeah our defence blows.
These two CBs starting today for example have barely a few games of senior football between them.
