Back from the game. I was posting the scores as they happened on Twitter. :p
Everyone looked pretty fit and lively tonight. Flores is fantastic. Cassio has his spring back in his step. Cassio and Pantelis linked up well on the left. Hughes played yet another solid match. Leckie is still quick, and his close ball control is getting better. van Dijk's header goal is classic van Dijk-style. Flores' chip ball goal was a hilarity to watch.
The boys had so many chances against the Galaxy boys, but their goalkeeper was surprisingly capable! Everyone cheered him for every save he made. Even the Red Army gave up the "You Are Shit!" goal-kick chant. If it wasn't for him, we could have won 8-0. :p

Awesome news. I'm glad Flores wasn't just a dream last year and that he is as good as we remembered him to be.
The final score was 2-0, right?

Yeah, final score was 2-0. At times I think it was more of a training run inside the penalty box. The guys were trying to pass the ball around as much as possible. I counted roughly 12 consecutive passes at one point in the 2nd half. Very strange watching that...

I was at the game tonight. Bloody freezing. Good seeing Flores score. Funny stuff with his celebration.

Very pleased to hear that the boys played well. Would love to see the Flores goal going from what people are saying. Hopefully we can take this form into the remaining friendlies and into the season.

Was anyone recording it? Will have to check the Red Army page to see if they have put up video...

Flores waltzed past about 3 defenders and when the keeper came off his line, Flores lobbed it over him into the net, pretty much as the last kick of the first half. He then proceeded to run and take his shirt off, getting a caution in the meantime. :p Pretty funny.

Was that the one with the little kids?......or the one with the 6 broadcasters contest to see who could last the longest? GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLL -GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLL - GOL,GOL,GOL
Could you imagine Muscat doing that. All the other games we had an English commentator, for Aus games we had Muscat slurring into the mike and stating how rough a certain tackle was!!! :d :d :d

I'm actually slightly worried about my application to have my seat changed. On the Ticketek thing it still says my membership is being processed. I know it's only been a week, but I'm still worried. :p Maybe I should have just stuck with my seat from last season.

Yeah, I bought my season ticket online last friday and haven't even heard anything from Ticketek yet. They haven't even taken the money from my back account, might give them a call next week and tell them to sort it out and yell at them a bit.

I "paid" for mine on Monday, but they haven't taken any money yet. I hope they don't leave it to the last minute again like the mess they made of the ACL R16 match tickets.

Yeah paid for mine online but no money taken out yet. I'm not worried though as I have the receipt of payment so I'm OK unless they want to be sued. ( Maybe they'll forget to take the money out and I'll get a free mmembership ) Was thinking about changing my seat, but when Venuetix had the reins you had to wait until membership only had finished, and that was like the last week - I decided not to leave it to Ticketek - " a bird in the hand etc........... Who do you reckon the keeper will be? Be nice if we could drag Beltrame away from the tropics  Edited by redcup: 11/7/2010 04:29:23 PM

yep same with me have an emailed confirmation that my order was successful for renewing the same seat for Gold Membership and for the Friday night shout option.
They said my status is still open but to ring them again if it hasn't finalised on Friday 16th July
Better because I would be more worried if existing members wait till the last minute to sort out.
Why is something so simple as renewing a membership made so complicated?... you tell me!!!

You'd think with renewing memberships for Red members, and Gold members who don't want to change seats, they would be able to take your payment straight away and thus giving you some peace of mind.

hmm, haven't checked but my cash flow is tight so went with the six payment option... Actually thinking about it Ticketek process their payments on the 15th of the month so check to see if it happens then.

Quote: All fun at Reds Holiday Clinic Monday, 12 July 2010 AUFC July Holiday Clinic Adelaide United FC held another fun filled school holiday clinic, with a host of boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 12 flocking to Hindmarsh Stadium. There were plenty of red shirts among the kids who took part, and they all enjoyed the opportunity to show off their skills and learn from a number of Adelaide United’s stars. Cassio’s shooting drill was popular among the participants, while the kids were thrilled to have the opportunity to get up close and have a chat with their favourite Reds players. The clinic covered an array of skill development, giving kids the chance to get plenty of touches on the ball while being coached by members of the Reds squad.
