While maybe not the worst thing (the Reds could have folded, that'd be the worst), it isn't the best... as a Centrals fan or any of the other 7 teams fans why would you want the Football team you love to merge with a footy team you don't and is in direct competition with the team you do love...

That's not to say I won't support the man for what is has done but if there is a merger of the Reds with the Roosters, that's different...

Hey Davide82 is that your Etsy shop? My wife is thinking about opening one for her baby accessories business and I wanted to know what you thought of it.

Yeah, well it's actually my girlfriend's shop(thats her in the pics not me). She only just started it about a week ago though so it's hard to give too much of a critique of it. I think it's definately a good idea though and anyone who wants to sell their crafts should have one. They charge a fairly small commission of any sales and the rest is up to you.
There are options where you can pay a bit extra to have your items come up in searches for a week or 2 as well and stuff which is cool. zoe also just got asked if she wanted to display her stuff at a art and design market in wollongong for Australian designers where she just has to send her work and they will display with info etc even if you cnat be there for your own stall.
So yeah it seems to open a few possibilities even after just a weeke or so and I know from experience that people do scour etsy stores and buy from there so I can't see what the harm is in setting one up to be honest...

Thanks mate, Sal has a Madeit store going at the moment but traffic seems low, she is thinking of swapping to Etsy or opening one up in conjunction with Madeit - stupidly she has made most of her sales via Facebook :-s

I'll have to take your word for it...! Good news for all involved. Shin wasn't getting game time here and was taking up a foreign spot. While showed lots of promise, he was never able to deliver consistenly enough for us, and you'd have to say there are a lot better asian players available than him. This might explain why he wasn't on the bench last night...! I'd love to see us get a Chinese player to get some of the local students interested in the game!!! That's a good demographic to tap into for crowd numbers.

Nah, I ran the page through Google Translator... :p But Shin's name is in the table, under the 4th selection for Busan I'Park. Some editor on Wikipedia has already insisted it's confirmed. We'll wait to see what AUFC has to say on the matter.

As for another Asian in the squad, I'd rather get a Japanese import to be honest. :D

Unless they want to leave Japan we wont be in much luck - though would love to have SFC's Hiro on the roster.

Agree with the can't afford him bit, that is for sure. I remember when we played Gamba in the final his salary was more than our entire squad. As for over the hill and preferring Flores? You've got to be kidding me. Endo is IMO the BEST player playing outside of Europe. I wouldn't give it a second thought to take him to Adelaide.

Oh and regarding the translated article. That seems a bit dubious, there is no doubt more than one Shin in Korea!! And if it's fourth selection how can that be? Is it some sort of draft? Or what? Wait to hear from the club I guess....!

It is a draft. The K-League uses it to recruit players from the university leagues around the country. There may be a lot of Shins in Korea, but footballers with the same Hangul name? I'm pretty sure it's him. I'll ask him in person at the next post-game member's function if I remember to and the club hasn't released a statement.

With regard to the draft, that is for non professional players as far as I am aware...

There is picure of Flores getting a yellow card against Perth of Facebook and Marcos comments: "this is my last game... this is the picture.... the ref is .......amazing ... is the best ... him is like maradona...". Bit of a pisstake from Flores, I had a good laugh out of it :lol:

I have been anti " guest " players and am guessing that Frances Jeffers may start against us on Saturday.

I suppose my dislike stems from a players perspective, where you battle to get into the squad, then battle against flesh & blood players to get a start and then along comes a " name " player who you've never met or who has never played alongside you and you may get the flick, but it may be as simple as all Adelaide got was a 40yr old Romario for 4 games.

Perhaps my dislike of the whole concept may be changed by the new management - although the concept of breaking the " gelling " team does stink.

Also I'm pretty sure that RU is correct and Shin actually requested to be put in the Korean draft, and he has a team next year there

I have come to the same conclusion on guest players.

I also think that RU is correct as well, but it would be nice for the club to confirm it.
