So I guess how do we get not just Adelaide united supporters but the city excited about our club?

Melbourne victory games sell themselves bit what about the other teams. No offense to Newcastle, gold coast, central coast and Wellington but how can we make each home game and event something not to be missed and not oh we are only playing Wellington. We should be able to eventually push our base to the point of being a club drawing around the 13,000-14,0000 mark.

AU U18's have drawn 1-1 with Shandong Luneng in the final group stage match, leaving us at the bottom of the group. :p

If I've worked out the groups correctly (thanks to Excel, and no thanks to the Weifang Cup website), we'll be playing Villarreal's U18's tomorrow morning. Shall be yet another good test for the boys.

Its no big deal(NBD), really, no wife, no kids(that I know of)no mortgage, just Rent & payments on a car. I've set up my fortnightly pay so that a certain amount goes into my "football fun" account so that If I feel like a trip to Cardiff to watch the Socceroos, I can do it if my boss signs off on my leave. I'm saving for Brazil 2014 and trying to get to as many of the Away WCQs as I can...Saudi Not likely, Oman 80% yes, Thailand definitely, If we get to Phase 4, then bring it on again:) Away trips for the Socceroos are bloody awesome

That's very good for a group of kids that only played together competitively twice before.

Now looking forward to the two kids from this group re-joining my local team at the pointy end of the season. =d> \:d/

Considering Shandong creamed the Korean U19 squad 5-1 today, I'd say our boys did alright. :p

Seems like the boys played their hearts out, and ended in a fair result in a penalty shoot-out. Hopefully some of them will be signed up for the NYL side this season.

Last night, AUFC defeated Western Strikers 5-0 (Van Dijk 2, Djite 2, Kostopoulos).
- White City's 30-year-old Slovenian defender Andrej Rastovac trialled for United
- Levchenko and Mckain made their first appearances
- Eugene was captain until being subbed, then Mckain
- Levchenko was "rusty"
- Djite and Van Dijk combined well
(unrelated: GC apparently want to sign M'barga)

You forgot Slory is a gun, liable to go off at any time ;)

I've been saying from day one that a fit and inform Slory would rip this league a new hole. If his preseason keeps going as well as it seems to have been he should be able to deliver well. I am a bit worried about his temper though which we saw glimpses of last season.

Haha we should just tell him to chill out a bit. Kick back and enjoy the Adelaide summer at the beaches. :D

No, that is our youth kit for the Weifang Cup in China.

Hopefully some of the Adelaide attitude will rub off on him - at least enough to stop him picking up a reputation as a hot head, all we need is to be in the GF and needing to win to secure ACL and for Slory to get sent off in the first 10 minutes cause he has lost his temper.

So I bought my membership today - I am member no. 6831 - does anyone know if that is how many members Adelaide has or has it been inflated at all?

When i first got a membership years ago they were 6 digit numbers

Then last years fiasco happened where we all got sent multiple cards etc and mine is now #2121 or something like that it was originally summat like #465465

about 7000 members does sound about right though. Anyone got any idea of the membership number?

I thought it went on sale to the public on the 15th and the renewal period was the 5th and the time between was when they worked out existing member's seat changes

Haven't heard back about that either though i called up and the girl said its happening now and we'd know in the next coupla weeks.
