+x+x+x+xinterestiny he played bit deeper as a dual 8 today rather than as the 10. This is the reason hes not playing much atm as lennin isnt using a 10 atm you would think if hes packing the midfield in a 3-5-2 he'd make room somewhere? in a 352 you either have dual 6's and a 10 or a 6 and dual 8's who play as box to box mids. Lennon plays the latter for jis 352 meaning rogic is operating deeper. Lennon could tweak the system but christie who was playing as the other 8 is nominally an 10 like rogic or a winger so if lennon played the 2 6's with a 10 variety either christie or rogic would have hsd to have played deeper again as one of the 6's. so he has two genuine 10s.. probably more..but still wants to play defensive wing backs like Taylor? even though hes clearly setup for overlapping wing backs? im just confused I guess.. this formation is a huge , infact even bigger issue for arzani as there are no wingers in addition to no number 10. Hence why he hasnt been in the squad the last few weeks

Hence why he hasnt been in the squad the last few weeks I love it. It's my favorite formation in football. When it comes to tactical and/or formation changes, Lennon has shown he is willing to make changes when needed. So why it might not be the best for some players, he isn't shy to make those changes when required. So one minute things might not suit Rogic, the next they do.

Rogic has played in all but one match since we made the switch from 4-2-3-1 to the 3-5-2.

Youtube has recommended that I watch "Kevin Muscat is a Wanker - Montage 2011" after this one.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

+xJ League postponed until at least March 15th due to Coronavirus. That’s huge news. The Japanese must be very very worried about containing it. And I imagine they want it all over by the Olympics!

Full game in a 1-1 draw with Sunderland for Souttar, getting the equal second highest player rating according to my app.

Definitely a worry for the Olympics, would be a great tragedy as it's too big and complex to postpone or relocate, it'd have to be cancelled.

Andy Pengelly has started well in Singapore scoring 5 goals in his last 2 games in pre season (albeit against lower league opposition) his first competitive match for Lion City Sailors (Previously Home United before a Singaporean billionaire took over a week ago) will be on the 6th.

Trying to google more info on our latest Young Socceroos training camp (couldnt find anything) but found these two interesting articles: Schwarzer wants Rogic to move to Bundesliga abd says Arzani shoud never have gone to Celtic: https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/mark-schwarzer-issues-scathing-celtic-21572865Huddersfield have signed another young Aussie keeper: https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/football/huddersfield-town-sign-youth-international-goalkeeper-1995925

Mark is clueless when it comes to football outside of the English Premier League and his comment about Rogic and not playing 90 minutes for Australia the way he does at Celtic proves that theory, he has maybe played 8 full 90 minute games in the last 2 years and is quite rightly copping some flack for it. He came out in September 2019 and said it was the wrong move for Arzani- this was in hindsight after his injury, so does he think he's some sort of future teller by stating the obvious? Him saying the Dutch League would be better is also a bit of a misconception as how many aussies have went there and moved onto bigger things in the past decade? Goodwin-nope, Rojas- nope, Babalj- nope, Behich- nope, Juric, nope, De Silva nope, Mauk nope, Oar nope, Zullo nope. Sainsbury nope, Rukavytsya nope. Davidson is the only one from memory who caught the eye of bigger leagues.

Arzani's style was also suited to the continent.
The dutch league like many development leagues in Europe also are leagues where its a minor step towards the bigger leagues, some will come off others don't regardless if they dutch or Australian.
Celtic is a big club in Scotland but they always stack their squads so it was also going to be hard to break through.

Hey dude you are pretty good at putting down any poster that isn't drinking the Celtic flavoured coolaid but surely you aren't suggesting that you know more about professional football than a guy with Schwarzers resume. That would just be beyond ridiculous or seriously egostistical. Find his playing history below and when you get time you can chuck up your resume and we can see how it compares.
