May be a stupid question and I'm 99.5 percent sure I know the answer but i'll ask anyway. Im on the nticketmaster website buying tickets for the december 10th Melbourne V vs Reds match. should i be buying in the Visitors area if im wanting to sit with the reds fans. The map calls it the away supporters bay, but the ticket listing doesnt have a catagory called this, only one called Visitors area.

Im pretty sure this is the area, Ii just dont want to end up with all the victory fans on the opposite side of the stadium or anything :)

That's a pretty stupid stuff-up by ticketek tbh! Obviously because in other sports ie. NRL, Union there are no away supporters so they aren't used to having to designate areas for them. I am also 99.999% confident it would be the Visitors bay, but I'm neither a United fan nor attending the match so I wouldn't have a clue so wait for further confirmation :)

Strange that Ticketek AND Ticketmaster are both selling tickets for MV games. Must be venue specific?

Yes, buy the visitors area.

I also mailed the club querieing what the members get to show they are members.
Matt Rossi told me it was just the key-ring - seems your experience today has cemented that belief within me. :-s

Ok I got a trivia scenario for you Reds fans you might be interested in:

For the AUFC v Tard Kewells match, if it is already sold out a week before the game just say is the scenario. I call up Ticketek and request a ticket, and they say sorry we have no left.

If I call up AUFC and because it's only Round 2, I buy a GA membership. Do I get entry into the ground come game day? Because every seat has already been pre-sold but I have a membership?

I'm assuming you mean season ticket, as the membership is separate from it and doesn't give you entry to season fixtures.

Where capacity crowds are expected, general admission season ticket holders can not be guaranteed a seat, but they are guaranteed entry into the game. We strongly advise general admission season ticket holders to arrive early to the ground to avoid disappointment.

It'll have to be next time. I'm double-booked and can't get out of it since I have to do some speaking on the night. Planned long before the game unfotunately. I even have a ticket thanks to my membership! I shall fondle my AU keyring instead.
