BTW Timmo it was good to say G'day to you at the Friday game - sorry I couldn't hang around as had to meet my brother-in-law for a few beverages and chat, nice thing is I reckon he is going to come along to a few games this season after his little experience :)

Hey General it was nice to meet you too yeah being with the active supporters was an interesting experience myself but I think I might sit in the western stand come the season proper as I would want to follow the game more.

Hey if your brother in law comes to more games than he otherwise would then you have done your job.

Your sitting in the blue area this year?

Speaking of sitting behind the benches....

has anyone noticed that this year our bench is sitting on the other side and we are warming up down the other end?

Why do you think that is and you reckon it will continue through the season?

I wonder if its to put opposition off by warming up in front of Red Army or something?

Hard to understand why the change after all these years...

I guess I too will be sitting sorta behind the opposition bench even though a few weeks ago i thought i was behind the home bench

This and during the summer months with the heat makes sense that there is shade in the southwest corner of hindmarsh rather than the northwest.

Hey any competitive advantage the better. Gets the supporters groups all fired up before kickoff!!!

Won't be heading to the training tonight, been to many training sessions in the past, and will continue to do so during the season as well. :p

Yeah, the main reason for switching the benches was due to the sun and heat in the summer months. But I reckon the intimidation from the home support is going to be big for us too.

Unsurprising news today..after roping in a few 'suckers'[including me] to pre-purchase the new Errea kits, with the promise that they would arrive on the 30th Sept and be mailed out immediately, comes this cluster f**k:(

http://www.adelaideunited.com.au/default.aspx?s=newsdisplay&id=41178
Why am I not surprised? I'm still waiting for the 2 damned membership packages I paid for on the first day they were available(26 Oct IIRC) over a month ago to be delivered. It might be unavoidable due to supplier issues, but once again it fails to paint out front office staff in the best of lights:(

THIS. I have still not received my Season Ticket. Rang the useless help number listed and was presented with " Hello, this is North Queensland Membership Line" response! I kid you not. I was dying to ask how membership sales were going but hung up in astonishment.

Abolute fucking disgrace. I'm ringing the club tomorrow and am going to go absolutely ape shit.

At times this club bears the hallmarks of a rabble that couldn't organize a blow job in a brothel.
I'm just shuddering with the amount of pissing around us members will have when tickets for the finals go on sale with the clueless Ticketec.

Can't figure out why these business heavyweights didn't tie Errea down with a contract stating every day they're late they lose a certain % fee.

Hope your reading all this dis-satisfaction members committee!

we don't because the club don't communicate well. although with issues like commercial in confidence they maybe can't go into specifics like "Errea have messed us about and while we understand the fans are disappointed, we will pursue compensation as per our contract." Disappointing, but now that I've slept on it and woken to the news of the new club-rooms, I'm feeling a little more mellow. Still wish the club would communicate directly with us more. Why have social media and ignore its benefit of direct access to the fans?

Great to see Malik in on the goals. Hope we see more of him in the holding midfield role. He's not a real CB, so I hope I never have to see him play there again.

Of course. It's just that I'd expect to see more season tickets purchased for this season than last, when one considers the differing circumstances for our club now and a year ago.

Anyone else not impressed with this membership vs season ticket malaki

The only people protected from the rain are those in the upper tier and from about row U in the middle tier. However you won't have the sun in your eyes or be baked to a crisp on 35+ degree days. :d

Personally I think the season ticket vs membership is a bit of a money grab from loyal supporters, but I may be barking up the wrong tree and it may turn out fine. Just wait and see I suppose
