Kinda sad that i've Googled it a few times and checked AdelaideNow, but the first place i can find mention of it is here on 442! No wonder i love you so much 442.

This I would like to know although I wish there was that option already on the replica jerseys where you have a menu to put your name and number on the back. Had this option when I bought my Portland jerseys and for less money that it took to buy these shirts. I know what Im putting on the back once known.

need to talk to the red army and red terrace supporter groups about learning some chants that I could use in the western stand. If I could get 10 people chanting then this will be good for all and hopefully spread like and infectious disease within the western stand.

BTW Simon Hill on FiveAA last night, your a legend for putting cornes in his place last night.
I knew Graham was going to ask it and Simon knew it was coming. Basically two points yes ban the idiots that cause the problem but how this makes front page news when an issue in AFL will make minimal snippet is beyond me. Loved how he mentioned the flares at Central Districts SANFL club are termed "celebratory".
Basically like the majority of us feel here we just want a fair go.

If there's any justice, it should be about $10 with the amount they slug us for the shirt. You have to understand with private sponsoring there will be higher costs both adelaide united and erra need profits from the shirt sale. be happy you are giving back more to the club now then you did under the old deal and stop bitching people. why do you buy the shirt to support your club by buying a shirt you are in more ways then just GOOOO UNITeD

On the flares, one of the ladies in my office is a massive Eagles fan and she personally doesn't understand why when there are flares at the football it cops far more stick than the equivalent from Central District supporters. I think we will find that SANFL supporters have far less worry about our game than AFL supporters.

AUFC website wrote:Caltex keeps Reds motoring
Friday, 21 October 2011 6:22 PM Adelaide United FC’s list of impressive corporate partners has grown further with Australia's leading transport fuel supplier and convenience retailer Caltex signing on as the club’s ‘back of shorts’ sponsor for the next two seasons. The commitment of a high profile and nationally recognised company such as Caltex is a major coup for the Reds and the club is delighted to align itself with a company of Caltex’s stature. Caltex is the only integrated oil refining and marketing company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, and its business value chain incorporates operational excellence throughout supply, refining, logistics and marketing. With Caltex’s high standards and drive for innovation and success, its values fittingly align with what Adelaide United FC sets out to achieve on and off the field, suggesting that the partnership has potential to be an extremely prosperous one. Caltex Brand Advertising and Marketing Communications Manager Mark Leathan revealed that one of the key reasons behind Caltex’s commitment to Adelaide United is because of a new development the company has set its sights on establishing in South Australia within the next two years. “Caltex plans to open a new fuel terminal in South Australia in 2013 giving greater security of fuel supply to the state,” Mr Leathan said. “This project is part of Caltex's overall commitment to develop infrastructure and capability to meet Australia's growing transport, agricultural and mining fuel needs. As part of this move we are looking for partners with similar values to ours. Our company values suit Adelaide United as a team with a history of success serving and caring for South Australians.” “We wish the team all the success in the coming season and look forward to our ongoing partnership.” Caltex will be displayed on the back of the team’s playing shorts for the first time when the Reds take on Sydney FC at Hindmarsh on October 22. For more information about Caltex, visit www.caltex.com.au. http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/adelaideunited/news-display/Caltex-keeps-Reds-motoring/41964

Terrible performance by the Reds... not one significant attack after Vidosic went off. Slory is hopeless- surely Coolen must be running out of patience with him.
The other teams in the league seem to look sharper than us. A big shake up is needed or the season is a write off.

Cracks starting to appear in the Dear Leaders perfect facade. Knew they would as there's always a reason why managers end up over here. Be honest, Slory's recruitment has been a complete cock-up. He was brought in last season to much fanfare and hype to do a job and provide the spark for our finals campaign and if anything, he only hindered it through injury, bad temper and general fuckin uselessness. This season I'm pretty confident we've seen his full hand already and he's definitely bluffing.
Also, reverting to Vidmar's BS gameplans at Hindmarsh when 1-1 or 1-2 against inferior opposition won't hold a crowd for long.

Slory has good moments, but it looks like his bad moments outweigh them. I'm a patient guy, and it's a long season ahead. I'm willing to wait another few weeks to see how we go before calling for change.

One good performance and two bad ones, it's still early, at least you guys have scored some goals and have looked reasonable in patches. More than you can say for Victory

Anyone else irritated by the new red and blue seating arrangements at Hindmarsh? Really, it's just something else for Weslo to get wrong and is it really treating a problem that existed in the first place? Apart from having to remember to have your ticket with you, it means you can't just wander around the ground anymore (one of the pleasures of the younger, more decorative class of spectator) and in my families case, it robs us of one of our viewing tactics - if we couldn't get our favourite seats, we'd often move to one of the ends for the different perspective.
