So guys (I'm not sure if it's been brought up before, pardon my ignorace if so), but do you find the technique and the way Galekovic approaches the ball/striker to be either very weird, lethargic or not quite right at times? It's certainly not the first time I've noticed, but since he's reactions are so sharp, he gets away with these goals he seems to concede in very amateurish fashion. Now, I'll say this without the coaching knowledge of the great keeping coaches, but having seen, heard, played as, been coached by, goalkeeper's, it certainly isn't the best way to go about stopping a striker coming toward you.

You'll know what I'm talking about without me having to explain it in detail, but what are your thoughts? I think it may be one of his huge weaknesses that holds him back.

He does make alot of great saves but I actually agree with you. Look at Sydney's second goal, he does some odd movements and then gives up.

Pretty sure it's only set up so people who buy the cheaper red tickets can't get into the blue section. You should have been easily able to go to either end to sit.

It does annoy me, but I'm fairly certain that would be why they do it now.

With my Gold season ticket, I wasn't allowed access to either of the Red ends or the Blue stand. The stewards are a lot more strict checking seating allocations in the Gold section as well, so even if there is a spare seat next to your mates, you can't sit there unless you have the specific ticket for that seat.

The Coyne goal Hugene had no chance since Ramsay was still at the opposite end of the fucking field when it happened, the kid needs to learn he has a role in defending when his marker is creating a man up FFS. The second goal by Carle Hugene could have saved, I am not sure exactly what he was trying to achieve as advancing like he did when he did just invited Carle to put it between his legs - especially as Carle was under pressure from our defense at the time...

In short the main reason we got our arses handed to us was because Pancho was on the bench and two players without an ounce of ability as defensive or holding midfielders were occupying those roles. FFS Rini, they may be capable of stop gapping into a secondary role but that does not mean you should pretned it is where their strengths lie!

to be fair he did make a few quality saves as he usually does but every now and then he looks a little confused. The second goal he went forward then back then came out half arsed.
I think we actually missed Levchenko, and why is Pancho not playing??

Oh Hugene was immense, the Carle goal is the only time he got caught out badly. Coyne should never have been free to take his shot, Ramsay entirely at fault for that. He lost the ball and then watched, watched FFS!, as Coyne ran up the field creating an extra man for SFC in our backline and then scored - then pain I felt was palpable.

$5.05 for Adelaide to win. Might stick a lazy tenner on that on the odd chance Slory scores a hattrick.

$3.50 for the draw.

I've opted not to take up the Membership just yet, despite being a vocal supporter of it. There just seems to be no meat and potatoes to the initiative.

Has the AUFC Commitee been formed yet? Are nominations up? By no means am i prepared to label it a 'cash grab' but there needs to be more information to it before trying to sell the idea to supporters.

Anyways i'm glad you guys have received some communication on the membership. Feel free to post it on here, i'd be keen to check it out.

there really wasn't much to the e-mail, but I guess it was a nice in a way to see that they did rememeber they asked some of us for extra money

If you want meat and potatos from the first email you may as well become a vego

But anyhoo

Dear Davide,

On behalf of the Club we are pleased to welcome you as an inaugural AUFC Member. It is the first step toward achieving the goal of becoming a membership based sporting entity of which all can be proud.

For the record the key objects of the Club contained in the Constitution include but are not limited to the following:
· Support and encourage the game of soccer in South Australia
· Promote god fellowship amongst members of the Club and associated social facilities

By joining you will now be eligible to:
· Vote for the election of three Committee Members at the Annual General Meeting
· Candidates must be nominated by a current financial Member, of which your one.
All of this information will be available to you upon receipt of the Adelaide United Members Club Inc Constitution.

So where to from here?

We would like to provide the following Club update:

· Hindmarsh Stadium
The challenge for the Club is negotiate a stadium deal which provides long term security for United. Currently we pay a significant fee for each match day offset by ticket sales from which Ticketek take a fee. The Club does not receive any income from catering. A future deal must provide an upside for both United and Government whilst at the same time keeping the game affordable for the fans

· Pre Season Matches
We hope you enjoyed the games which were included in your membership – especially the Harry Kewell match.

· Members Day @ Tapestry Wines – McLaren vale
All financial members will be invited to a Players/Coaches day courtesy of Tapestry Wines owned by Robert Gerard – date and further to be advised shortly

· 2011/12 Expectations
We look sound on paper, but performance is another matter. The win against the Victory at Hindmarsh was a fantastic result, but the Perth and Sydney matches were certainly a wakeup call with the sobering reality of playing Brisbane Roar this week at Suncorp Stadium

Thanks for the support
Go the Reds

dunoo who wrote it or why we should all feel so privileged we were allowed to watch the HARRY FUCKING KEWELL WOO HOO YIEW pre season friendly but anyways

Like I said, its nice to know I am officially on their database so will be updated in the future if anything happens

Okay peeps, for those who pre-ordered their Errea kits, I rang the club this arvo, when I arrived home from work to find my mailbox empty. The lass at the club was in the process of sealing the express-post envelopes, meaning that they will be in your snailmailbox on Thursday. The (slightly)bad news is that only the home kits are in the mail. the Away kits haven't arrived in requested numbers just yet. I'm going into the club tomorrow to pick my home kit up, will ask then when they expect the away kits. Anybody have any questions they'd like me to ask while I'm there?

So are we going to organise a voting block of 442 forumites and get our man/men up?:-" :-"

Also on the whole stadium deal I for some reason thought the club was getting a piece of the action. Bloody even more infuriated with the price increases now. So is the money from the concessions going straight to the govt?

I am going to nominate myself for the Committee but will support whom ever seems like they have the interests of the members and the long term goal of the franchise changing to a club at their core.

·

So are we going to organise a voting block of 442 forumites and get our man/men up?:-" :-"

Also on the whole stadium deal I for some reason thought the club was getting a piece of the action. Bloody even more infuriated with the price increases now. So is the money from the concessions going straight to the govt?

No idea tbh, but if the club isn't getting it, the good question is yours, where is it going? Is there State debt on the stadium from its build in 1999/2000 or was it covered by the Feds under the Olympic spending?
