I don't know the in's and out's but going purely on dollar amount for stadium hire per game, i am 99% certain we have the best deal in the A-League. We pay a pittance compared to the rest of the country so i was surprised to see the consortium say we pay a "significant" fee.

Promote God Fellowship hey? Are they planning a members function in Rundle Mall on Friday night. One of the worst business emails I have ever read. ](*,)

Does anyone roughly know when the new away strips will be arriving?

Best bet is call the club and ask them mate. With regard to the cost of hiring, the fee will always be significant - I think this is because we lose so much of each ticket sales to the cost of hiring etc.

Imagine the atmosphere with a terrace at the home end with a roof, no roof on the away end so you cant hear Melbourne

not buying for my seat for the western stand but will try and get in the home supporters bay once on sale after the Melbourne heart game.
Despite the result had fun standing and chanting the whole game although some chants did get overdone.
Want to be there for the GCU, boy do we need noise for this game.

This may anger a few people but women should be banned from singing at football, there seems to be too many women singing in the home end.

I disagree with you, most of the voices you think are womens are actually those whose voices haven't broken yet ;)

I remember reading when this move of Gold Coast's home game to the Marsh that GC received a % of the gate. I suppose this may well be the most profitable game this year for them.

Probably nothing, looks a bit retarded. Players can get votes without playing. Melling and Izzo are doing better than Mullen and Dilevski.

I'm sure those votes wouldn't count in the end. But knowing how the FFA have fucked up the websites royally since the changeover, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't fix it up.

For the record I voted
3-Eugene hard to argue 2-McKain tried hard and was flat on his feet by the end 1-VanDijk just coz i feel sorry for how hard he has to work for no reward. Wins almost every header he ever has to when Eugene pumps the ball long but there's never any support.
On that, why has Eugene started booting EVERY.SINGLE.GOALKICK. straight up the field again this year like we did when we came bottom under Vidmar?
Is this an instruction?
If its not has he been told to stop/
Is it coz fullbacks like Malik or whoever is there are hiding and not demanding the short ball
Anyhoo, its 5pm and Im outta here

3 - Hugene 2 - Ramsay 1 - McKain
That members email looked half assed at best but I guess it's best than nothing, keep us in the look somewhat rather than wondering where our $60 went.

You defiantly prob have more reason why you don't women in the area like because it is what it use to be like and still want it like that. maby you just cant talk around women ? lol

Granted the Coyne one was probably unreachable, but the Carle one it looked like he hesitated about what to do. Oh and long bombs up to van Dijk didn't help my impression of him either. McKain did a good job, but his distribution into the midfield was suspect. Caravella wasn't as good as he was the week before, but neither was the entire team. Caravella provided an attacking impetus along the ground that didn't involve long balls, and he actually took players on. When he lost the ball, he'd also actually chase them down to try and retrieve it. Could have done better, yes, but that is why I only gave him 1 point. Hell, why am I even trying to justify my votes? ](*,) Edited by RedsUnited: 26/10/2011 07:32:16 PM

vanbasten88 wrote:Okay peeps, for those who pre-ordered their Errea kits, I rang the club this arvo, when I arrived home from work to find my mailbox empty. The lass at the club was in the process of sealing the express-post envelopes, meaning that they will be in your snailmailbox on Thursday. The (slightly)bad news is that only the home kits are in the mail. the Away kits haven't arrived in requested numbers just yet. I'm going into the club tomorrow to pick my home kit up, will ask then when they expect the away kits. Anybody have any questions they'd like me to ask while I'm there? Okay, bad form to quote oneself, but I went in today and picked up my Home kit...verdict....I like it..probably my second favourite kit, the first being the original Sekem United Mk1 home kit. Despite being lower quality, that one has so many awesome memories of falling in love with United, this one is clearly a quality shirt. I like the 'shiny' background on the club badge. the shirt just feels good. and sizing....I take a medium Nike Socceroos kit and this one feels about right as an Errea Large. Will be ringing Top Corner to get a quote tomorrow on name and number on the back.....will follow up here with their reply. Update on Away kits: expected within 2-3 weeks, will be posted out to those who pre-ordered. I Didn't get the chance to ask about other merch, t-shirts, hoodies, tracksuits etc, had to bail pretty quickly once I grabbed my shirt. Edited by vanbasten88: 26/10/2011 08:58:17 PM
