He let his A license lapse so will have to re do it. Both Valkanis & Twhatverhisname have an A License though so it is no big deal.

South Stand though and seemed a lot bigger than what happened in the North Stand. Anyway I suspect the club has been a little preoccupied for some reason this week. I'll forgive them.

This. The footage of red wig storming down the steps has been replayed a few times but looks fairly harmless on TV. I bet if the media had decent footage of the south end - ie a girl getting punched - that would be media gold.

With the Jan transfer window coming up I wonder who will be making an exit? Now of course no one could and Kossie could go with the squad he inherited. Somehow I don't see that happening.

He's got an overseas based spot free with Slory?? Personally I don't see them filling that spot with an overseas player. At the Memebrs meeting the strong hint from Glen was they really want to do due 'due dilligence' on selecting overseas players in the future. Glen indicated this meant getting on a plane and going to see them. He was quite insistent on that point. It worked with Flores....

I think Kossie will go for a much flatter 4-4-2 approach. That then opens up a few positions IMO.

I think Caramello can do a job in the middle. He's lightweight but I want to see him facing the goal a lot more.

Lev I'm not sure about. There have been the faintest of glimmers but this injury is a worry (anyone know what's going on with him, is he close?).

Dilevski?? Personally I'd be telling him it's RB or nothing.

Djtie? Where the hell to play him. Wide is ridiculous. Up front in a 4-4-2 with SVD? Too similar?? Can he adapt his game to suit???

Teeboy? He can't start every game. He's still 15 but as our Amini (without Leverkuesen owning him :) ) maybe?

Today's 'tiser says that Rini never turned up for training with the Baby Reds yesterday, but does not offer a reason and also says that he is expected to offer his version of events in the coming days. Hope this doesn't go pear shaped [-o<

What could possibly be his version of events?

"I tried my best for this team and this town. You cunts never appreciated me. My players never did what I said. This club is so unprofessional to tear up my contract. You are all pissants"

Ok Rini, thanks. Now slink off quietly

Are they just trying to save cash, hoping he'll resign?

Sounds like he'll be back with his lawyer in tow. Is there a managers assosciation in Australia ?

We're speculating on that but Griffin said on TWG Monday night that Rini had presented them a 4 year plan which they liked very much and they want to keep him on board to help execute that plan, but really needed a change on the front end with the seniors team.

Quote:

It's been confirmed that he sought legal advice. He might come out and grill all and sundry as Davide said. Then again, he might come out and apologise for where we are at as a club and wants to help in his new role.

Given how sensitive Rini was to Val's articles (which by the way were not even half as bad as those aimed at Vidmar in his final season) and asked for the club to publicly back him (even though they already did), i get the feeling this new role has pissed him off big time.

I repeat, hope this doesn't go pear shaped [-o<

Hopefully Rini gets it together and goes along for the ride with the club. They probably want him to do what he did in the off season with attending games & keeping track of local players. Use him as much as possible and if he decides to leave then so be it.

Personally the players need more of a rocket than Rini. If they turn things around by playing with commitment it tells you that they were being treated too softly and didn't have the professionalism to focus on the task at hand themselves.

Secondly, thanks RedTillDead for that detailed run down of the meeting tonight. Appreciate it.

I'm entering ranting territory but i cannot help myself...

on these points:

- Rini was very, very sensative to what Val was indicating. Asked Glen to come out and officially state that he supported Rini. Glen refused becuase of what saying such things meant i.e. the dreaded vote of confidence. Rini didn't get that

- Discovered a key reason behind the Members committee, constituion etc Club, because they are privately owned, cannot compete for sports development grants. Having a community based organisation means they can seek government money to run development programs etc. Clever

- Seemingly non-existent relationship between FFSA and the Reds and a distant relationship with the clubs. Gave some ripper examples of problems i.e. He invited 10 local club preidents to all expenses paid night in the Reds room for the last match. 2 bothered to get back to him, 1 was from Port Pirie!!

- Glen very apssionate about develolment of the game in indigenous community. Great to hear

what can i say, these owners are switched on. Look at those initiatives. Watch Griffin on TWG tonight. He talks so brutally honestly about the financial model of the A-league and that it needs to change. Switched on. The fact that there was a meeting tonight with MEMBERS proves this even further.

The situation they were thrown in with Coolen was extremely difficult. It took balls to make their decision. they've done it now and kudos to them for doing SOMETHING. The comments above prove once and for all that tweets and comments on here, TV, newspaper and facebook that say things like "new owners are clueless" are fkng retarded and come from intellectually-stunted, moronic half-wits.

fk off the lot of them.

This. We'll be laughing in five years when the team is flying and our club is the most sound on and off the field!

Phil started his career working for the Shell Oil Company where he moved through the ranks whilst studying towards his accountancy degree. He left the company as the State Accountant after deciding against relocating to Melbourne, which allowed him to continue with his football career in South Australia.

Subsequently Phil then purchased into a Kangaroo Island practice, where over a 2½ year period the client base was doubled. He then sold out of the business to move back to Adelaide to continue to build his practice and ultimately merge with O'Brien & Co to become PDK Financial

Phil had a decorated career in the SANFL playing for North Adelaide & Central District where he won a Reserves Magarey Medal. Phil continues his involvement in football by serving on the North Adelaide Football Club Board as the Finance Director, helping to steer NAFC from extinction to financial strength over the past 8 years.
