+xAs a lover of good rugby league, I am in love with how the Roosters are playing. Textbook footy. You will struggle to lose games playing like this. Even with 50% errors. You will still struggle to lose. It's just high percentage footy. They’re almost flawless but the other job are making that easy..

+x+xEven with 50% errors. You will still struggle to lose. It's just high percentage footy. How do get 50% errors playing high percentage footy???.,. No wait... technical errors... What I meant was that even if they had only 50% completions, if they maintain this kind of gameplan, they will still win, no matter what the opposition does. It's a gameplan that wins you games even if are not at your best. Its why I called it high percentage. What I really meant was high efficiency or highly fruitful. On the flipside, our gameplan is very low percentage or fruitful. We rely on keeping the opposition to less than 8 points and even then we arent guaranteed to win coz we cant bloody score more than 6! But it's not about the points. Its about the style of play. Afew years ago, I commented on the Raiders who played a lovely brand of football but were extremely unlucky (I'll disciplined really) to lose a bunch of close games and fail to make finals. They learnt to cut the errors and now look at them.

I have been watching this game from just after half time until about 5 mins ago. Brisbane are probably not going to score not with only 18% of possession. It seems to be becoming a trend with these new rules, there appears to be always a lopsided possession count and just look at a bulk of the scores high 20's or 30's to 6 or even 0. Not much if a spectacle if all games end up one way traffic.

Not much if a spectacle if all games end up one way traffic. Might need a few more weeks to establish a trend... but looking back over last 3 rounds scores the sides that have been resoundingly neaten have played awful footy... And not just because that’s all the opposition allowed them to do.., The match ups are relevant... Fatigue appears to play a greater role... Though a deeper delve into possession, number of 6 agains, field position, is required but I’ll leave that to the germoulists when they need something to dramatise... Some sides were going to adjust quicker or be more natural or advantaged/disadvantaged... but the last bit is nearly always why rule changes are implemented in what I like to call the modern era... Remember Us... yes us... and Parra put how many points on these blokes under the old rules in the last couple of weeks of last year...and they are playing last years premiers... plus their coach and million dollar man suck...

Newcastle/Penrith finished 14 all.
Sides are too dependent on conceeding penalties and wrestle to slow down the attack.
Dman is right defence will improve when sides get fitter.

Knights and Panthers showed that by changing momentum you can still have a close end result. The key thing about tonight was that no one was going to beat the Roosters. They played the game from start to finish with 3 guys running at the defence on every single tackle. They MADE that 80% posession by putting themselves into attacking opportunities on every single tackle and actually scoring regularly and getting the ball back. I've never seen anything like it. Look up Blitzkrieg in the dictionary and watch a replay.

Look up Blitzkrieg in the dictionary and watch a replay. Right about the knights game... But Brisbane’s 60% completion rate played the main role in Roosters possession... And the lack of heart the reason there was 10 tries scored against em... no team scores ten try’s against a team that ‘comes to play’... even if they’re shit... youre creaming yourself over a glorified training run...

I'm creaming myself because the Roosters bullied the Broncos into making errors, giving away 6 tackle restarts and getting the ball back by scoring all the time. It was THEM calling the shots, not waiting for Brisbane to capitulate. Unlike us who play a game of waiting for the opposition to falter just so we can maybe gain field position or score. The mentality is totally different and you would think that over the years our club would have figured it out. It's like betting on a 25% chance and thinking you will (in the long run) beat the 75% chance. You might fluke a win here or there but in the long run, you will lose. And that is our style in the modern game. Call it a training run all you like. What I saw today was a team that can put it together for 80mins or more. Remember that they flew in only today and fly out tonight. They lost the best player in the game and had to reshuffle the deck and they were on-going from the get go. We cant even put it together for 10mins

+xAfter this tonight were the eels as good last week as we thought. They are. Coz they play in waves just like the Roosters did and have players that can capitalize on the new 6 again rules. They are not as polished as the 2 time premiers and dont quite have the experience. But they have players can win games on their own and will feature in the finals - no doubt.

Brioncs beat Cows round 1 by seven but cows only played 40 mins... then Souths by 4 in a game where the only highlight was the closeness of the score and Katoni Staggs strength.. look at their record at the back end of last year... staggs, tp, fifi out, baby hooker (who got worked over hard), coach who’s never had the dressing room; a heavy loss doesn’t surprise...

Eels beat us, titans, broncos...,
we will see where they’ve both really at from rnds 8-14 when they start to play top 4 sides...

Baa should have said "I have Covid-19 and now it is likely the whole first grade team has it". They can then be stood down and we can watch reserve grade have a go. Cant be much worse

Marki, the rorters aren't two time premiers, they won one and were gifted the second. Just remember, they are the best that money can buy and the sooner V'man introduces an honest alternative to the salary cap the better.
