+x+x+x+x+xEx-Bulldog pup Connelly Lemeulu has been handed his 1st grade debut by Green at the Cowboys this weekend Would you take Greeny as a coach???... Not sure... Id love to give someone like a Cooper Cronk if interested a go TBH. He’s got a great footy brain & has been coached by the best There really isn’t any standout candidates right now I find it interesting your attitude toward player and coaching candidates differs so wildly... you have offered every 2nd rate player that ever laced a boot and currently under contract a contract... but won’t do the same for Mary or Kearney... I find it interesting too...
Anyway, Aston Villa drew 0-0 & are STILL 2nd last
Here’s something interesting as well for you Dman.....

Hey whatever happened to our old poster who was half a law background....The Hitman or Ghost or something?
I was driving in Georges Hall 2 days ago in evening and my car went through 2 massive and deep potholes in centre of road. Needless to say, my low profile tyre (only 6months old) didn't stand a chance and busted. Turns out rim has also suffered damage and God knows if theres damage to the suspension. It wont be cheap.
I wanted to know if compensation claims with RMS or service NSW are successful in these instances. This road has been patch repaired many times previously but this time it looks like craters.
Anyone have previous experience with this sort of thing?

Marki, my wife had the same dilemma when she hit a "pothole" fvcked the tyre and cracked a rim. The local council in Orange basically said stiff sh!t, it's not their problem. Try as you might you wont win.

Hmmmm..... if I'd thought about it better, I would have acted like I lost control of the car and ploughed into a brick veneer from bedroom and narrowly miss some oldies or 3 kids and make the news...... Then they'd have to accept responsibility..... One of those things where you need to act swiftly....

Sharks have gone for a big physical pack, big test for our starting pack to hold them in the middle early.
I'm looking forward to seeing how Renouf goes, stay in the game for the first 20 mins... and execute our plays those are the big challenges.
Get that right, I think their big pack will tire towards then end of the game and they will make enough mistakes to give us opportunities...
Not an easy game, we need to be up for the fight in the first 20 minutes..

Marki, colour of a car or motorcycle does matter. Black looks great in a showroom etc, but on the road it's the least visible & heavily reliant on lights to be seen. Lights tend to fail at the worst possible times too. Arguably the best colour choice is red for several reasons. Firstly it stands out so much with the dark background of the road, concrete, trees etc. Secondly, even when you have incoming drivers that aren't paying 100% attention that are only taking a quick glance before going back to their kfc, texting, conversation etc, subconsciously red means stop on the road, so the slightest flash of red can be enough to at least get a 2nd glance ahead from the numbskulls on the roads these days.
When it comes to road bikes as an example, obviously they're smaller than cars, so the more visible the better for safety. You'll notice brands like Kawasaki aren't going to win any fashion comps with that awful bright green theme they use, and I think it was a Korean brand that went with mostly a bright yellow theme. Lots of Honda & Suzuki bikes are red, I've seen bright orange Ducati's & so on.
White stands out a lot too for all vehicles, so I'd put it up there with red as being the best options. But black, dark silver, metallic blues & those sort of paint jobs are at the wrong end of the scale for sure. Especially when you have family & passengers trusting you to keep them safe. It's not about getting the coolest photo of yourself next to your parked car or bike, it's about making other traffic aware you're on the road as quickly as possible.

Anyone have previous experience with this sort of thing? Many years ago I had a similar experience with Liverpool Council. It was that long ago it had to do with when the sewer was connected to Moorebank. I put a claim into the council and they said they wouldn't pay because I hadn't previously made them aware of the problem. The problem ran the whole.length of the street. They had a manual register for complaints at the time so I registered a complaint and it was fixed quick smart. I know neighbors had complained by phone previously but phone complaints were not formally recorded.

There have been successful claims against council for road deteriation and even roadworks, i remember reading or watching something about it a few years ago.
But, the secret is immediate and extensive documentation. Immediately (at the site) take photos of the damage and the cause. You need a stat dec of your own testimony and a witness wouldn't hurt either. Note time and date to the second. Then follow the correct channels, and get a solicitor to do that for you - don't just front up yourself with a cool story.
It IS something council's are liable for, you just have to nail it down.

Indeed. I emailed them this morning and advised them I will be pursuing a damages claim and sent them the photos. My sister advises me they have already repaired it as of this afternoon. Admission of guilt!
