Is it just me that thinks Manly didn't deserve a penalty in that last play?

I mean, the Manly kicker held the ball to the death before kicking it. Even on replay it looks like a late kick with little the defence could do than commit to taking him out.

He himself was never going to get to the ball and neither were the 2 guys who took him out. It was McCullogh on the inside that was nowhere near the tackle that could get to it - and did.

The push/lunge was almost simultaneous with the kick...
No pro foul, no penalty for mine...

You could lob every Foghorn Leghorn insult on Daley and it wouldn't be enough...mind you he wouldn't probably get most of them. If reports are accurate Dogs offering Cotric 750k cf 500k with Raiders. Einstein's comment...just because they offer a bit more...it is 150% more

Tony, the survey was on another social media site yesterday and yes I did participate. Most Doggies supporters want to see a return to Belmore but the biggest problem is land availability to increase capacity. I do remember some posters in the BDP suggesting purchasing Canterbury racecourse site and building a new stadium. Quite a good alternative actually.

I wonder if when Laurie asks a question does he make it sound like a statement? As All his statements and alleged commentary sound like questions. I do think Cotric would be a good fit in the centres for the Dogs and would probably welcome the opportunity of moving in from the wing.

NRL legend Laurie Daley has urged Raiders young gun Nick Cotric not to go to the Canterbury Bulldogs because of the pressure to perform at a struggling club. Cotric, who is off-contract at the end of the year, has many clubs vying for his signature and one of them is the struggling Canterbury Bulldogs. However, Daley, who played 244 games for the Raiders said that he needs to think very seriously about the offer. “Nick needs to weigh up what the environment will be like at Canterbury,” Daley told the Daily Telegraph. “Can they turn it around? Is he part of the solution? Are they going to sign other players? The challenges that he will face at Canterbury over the next couple of years because it isn’t going to be a quick fix.“Whereas he is in a stable footy program at Canberra, it will always be competitive, and you always know what you are going to get.”The Bulldogs are reportedly willing to offer Cotric $750,000 over three seasons, compared to the Raiders’ $500,000 offer for the same period. Despite the difference in the offers, Daley urged Cotric to stay given the competitive nature at the Raiders. “If it is not a massive amount different then I don’t think you would be looking to move,” he said.“Obviously, if it is a massive gap then you have to consider it, but you are always prepared to stay for less in a strong team that you know is going to be competitive rather than going to an unknown.”

Hi Nick welcome on board ... Hey Loz your nose just grew bigger....

Cotric might even be in the mix for fullback at the Dogs....

“Can they turn it around? YES Is he part of the solution? YES Are they going to sign other players? YES

Something wrong here.  750K over 3 seasons is 250K per season.  What a bargain

That's the problem with some of the powderpuff footballers of today is, as much as they are talented players they will stay at a successful team for less if it is an easy gig. If they have to roll their sleeves up and do a bit of the hard yards they steer clear because it is beyond their capabilities.

It's 50% more

yes $750k is indeed 50% more than $500k BUT it is also 150% of $500k
how we interpret a Maths question can cause misunderstanding
in Maths the question in the english sentence needs to be coverted to a maths sentence
when I taught maths, non english speaking background students could do number computations easily but often failed to convert the english sentence to the maths sentence e.g..
if you asked the question: what increase does $750k represent of $500k then 150% is the Answer with the words 'represent of " causing confusion BUT
if you ask the question; How much more is $750k than $500k then course $250k or 50% more is the answer and any confusion is due to the words  '"more " and "than" - and some students will still add the two numbers and arrive at $1250k
BUT if you ask the exact same non english speaking background students to solve: $750/$500= X % they will arrive at  the correct answer
and if you ask them solve : $750-$500= X they will also get the correct answer as you have taken the language confusion out and simply tested their computation skills

ha ha yes yes he might get  2.0%  or  0.02 of  Elliot's pay but he will need to "shoulder" some Elliot's responsibility and put his "shoulder to the wheel"
