+xCan we please throw 500k at this Raiders Starling guy. Best young hooker outside of Harry Grant I've seen. Plays what's in front of him with respect to the gameplan. That's what I want from the guy who touches the ball more than any other player first. He must be a thinker. If I were coach, I'd tell the 16 players the gameplan and I'd tell my hooker there IS no gameplan. Figure it out for yourself. You wanted diminutive.... Was great... Actually though he was under instruction to tackle and provide quality ball tonight... and run last... but showed plenty.... Have a crack at the bugger i say!!!.,,

Brown can coach...
Unless of course there is a candidate named Steyn who I would have the running...

+xBreaking news bulldogs sign nick cotric for 3 years all over fox sports nrl news Good signing. But I really want that Starling guy. It's not often I get impressed that much by a player on my first view of his game. Being 3rd string behind Hodgson and Havilli, I'd say we throw some good money at him that he cant knock back with an ultimatum. We dont want his manager thinking he can shop him around. Just 1 good strong offer and a sales pitch that he will be 1st choice hooker and part of our long term plans. I saw enough to want to offer 500k for 3 seasons. He's a thinker.

I like the idea of going after Mcinnes. He's contracted to Saints next year but the rumour is they'll release him if they get someone else they want and playing #9 should be attractive to him.
Tough, creative, 80 mins, missing a front tooth - real old school Dogs type player. And proven over a long period of time - more than just one game.
Give you options for a utility half/hooker off the bench too - because Mcinness can slot in the backrow and even cover halves himself.

McInnes is a priority IMO he has a good running game from dummy half and his defence is good. Fullback is another priority with Hoy and Sailor two of the options... The a prop who can do what Josh Papali did last night, even if only occasionally, so someone with size who can make an impact running the ball and provide leadership. This last box is hard to tick, the fullback/hooker boxes are higher priority.. Another 3-4 new signings, a new coach and a new attitude, we should have a much better 2021, especially if our $3M speaks up.

Yeah, McInnes is value plus.
Not only a class DH, he provides so many options for unplanned injury bench rotation and HIA losses. He can slot at a pinch anywhere from 3-12 and absolutely excel anywhere in the backrow IF he's not punching out 80 top quality mins at #9.
You can even design a two hooker plan around him if the game goes back to it and you got the player to run tandem with him, with McInnes still doing 80 mins slotting in the backrow.
He's a free bench spot.

Im not sure he will advance us as a team or just become one of us. Coz if he becomes one of us, he will be useless. We need someone who is strong minded and can play whats in front of them. No robots please.

+xGee our form line is looking bad at present..... the Broncos are back to a basket case. Like I had said before the game.....we didnt have to beat them. We just had to not lose to them. They would have capitulated if we just managed to get to an 8 point lead. They are so bad and devoid of effort it's not funny. I've seen Croft give up on multiple occasions tonight

Lol. The look on Darius Boyd's face while Mbye lines up each conversion is priceless.
It's like Mbye takes forever on purpose and the camera man just keeps focusing on Boyd!

Awful season ending injury to Corey Oates. Let's hope it's not career ending.
He has been one of Broncos only consistent players last few years and without him, the spoon should be theirs if we pull our finger out

JO "Whilst there are inaccuracies between what was reported about me and what happened, at the same time I do not condone my behaviour nor do I believe that it is a true reflection of the person I am, I would like to apologise to the Bulldogs and to the NRL for the damage this incident has caused. To the fans, I know I have let you down but I want nothing more than [an] opportunity to gain back your respect." At least he’s manned up and apologised... I think in the second chance boat now...
