Less money will eventually mean no club. All over one player who isn't even a local lad. What happened to Dodd was far worse, why did people keep their memberships after that?

Thank you Davide, I think some Reds fans need reminding a bit about what being a Supporter means. Did gooners the world over suddenly stop supporting Arsenal when Sol Campbell moved to Spuds? Keeping in mind Campbell played 135 times for the Arse and Flore$ played a grand total of 31 games. Frankly its embarrassing the way some of our supporters are carrying on like children over one player.

A lot of Adelaide fans need to pull their heads out of their arses and be fucking grateful that we actually have owners at all. They may not be perfect but they were willing to step up and pump a lot of their own cash into the club to keep it afloat.

As for the Flores thing, it was impossible to keep him and impossible to get him back. FORGET ABOUT FLORES.
We still have a team that can do well in the A-league. We have a great goalkeeper, an experienced defence (except for Bowles at RB), a midfield that has played well together in the ACL and two proven strikers. Some exciting young players such as Bowles and Malik.

Lets get excited about a team which is starring in the ACL and coach who seems to have turned the team round so that it has a bright future.

The team has finally started to bond and gel from the completely new team it was last year. We knew most of the guys weren't bad players individually but they looked like they'd never played together. Which of course they hadn't.

With our defence going the way it is in ACL, in particular the pairing of McKain and Boogs, we are going to be VERY hard to break down. Our midfield is FINALLY starting to gel(perhaps still lacking a real no.10) and I have very high hopes Malik will be one of the players of the league next season. Consistency was always his problem and the gritty side of his game which you need at CDM but he really stepped that up in the first 4 games of the ACL.

When Kossie first took over the front pairing of Van Dijk and Djite looked VERY promising. Were it not for missing some sitters and our defence conceding more than we scored every game we'd have had a much better revival after Kossie took over than we did. That was with Dario behind the two of them and I think in the A-League, as opposed to the 4-5-1 ACL formation, I think that will once again be a valid option for us even though i do prefer Dario out wide for the most part.

There is plenty to be excited about next season boys...

I'll go out on a limb and say I've got a feeling Dario is going to RIP this season, and if signing that Vincente guy is real ( Because in those youtube clips he looked awesome ),we'll be a real force.

Add to this the way the owners are getting the hang of football and looking after us fans ( Hope the BBQ's return )and the glory days of the club will return.

This Flores brought in the crowds is a myth. Yes he was an exceptional player both on and off the pitch (I will take everything he ever discussed with me at face value) but there were at least 4 games I can remember with Flores in the lineup in that 2010-2011 season where we failed to draw 8,000 to games. The way people have carried on you would think we sold out every game at Hindmarsh because of Flores.

Also people forget in that very same season we went the first 11 games (over a third) unbeaten. don't think that might have bump the crowds up? of course it did.

In regards to the owners should we have gone with Alan Young's consortimum who wanted to play all home games at Adelaide Oval? At least our current owners have stated more than numerous times they want all home games at hindmarsh because fans love it and sponsors love it.

Should we go back to FFA Control? 6 words North Queensland Fury Gold Coast United just because we are a capital city club doesn't mean we would be funded by them again.

Come Monday I will be renewing my financial membership and getting a different season ticket. I love this club and no matter who the owners or players are win lose or draw I will support this club.

i have 5 friends who are not renewing this season soley because of flores. i have been going to hindmarsh stadium for nearly 20 years to support my adelaide team and i can honestly say, we have never had a player come to our club and have as much charisma, talent, crowd pulling power than mr flores. to let the best thing to ever come to this club leave because of less than $100000 is just plain pathetic.

yes i am happy we have new owners cause it was looking scary at one stage but look at the most recent incident. this rosales bloke who is supposdely coming to trial and "he is paying his own way" but "we arent sure if he is even going to turn up"

salary cap makes that a bit hard, even arsenal can't keep RVP, there is always a bigger fish with more money to spend.

The club needs to work in its means. By the sounds of it, you're saying you're financially in trouble at the moment, so you out of all people should understand what it means to be responsible with your money.

Ironic that you're saying you're "united till i die" [sic], yet you're more focussed on one player than the team we already have, who have already shown they can match it with Asia's best without Flores.

I think we have made more of a concerted effort to actually discus the club within our thread than the other clubs - a lot of them just dropped to the arse end of the forum but ours usually is within the first 2 or at worst 3 pages.

It helps that we have a bi-polar club that is always either really good or totally crap. And that we have the capacity to create news out of nothing - take Rosales for instance! :)

But really it's down to the General and his personal tally of posts. ;)

Definitely makes you appreciate the highs. The club should (and I believe are) striving to be better though.
