Adelaide chairman Greg Griffin last night told The Advertiser the club had instructed its football director Michael Petrillo to make contact with the superstar's agent - once his contract with LA Galaxy ends this year. source: Adelaide United News facebook page. Is it just me or is that a really poor Photoshop effort ? lol

Great news that Cassio has resigned, on sadder news though at the very least Eugene wont be playing against the Mariners and Melbourne and you would think that Dario would also make the final cut for the 'roos. Malik deserves to make it but got a feeling he might get cut. Dario has good cover, Izzo is good but obviously not as good as Eugene but I think Watson would struggle as a lone center defensive mid. Kossie would probably play a 4-2-3-1 for those games.

Hope so. only heard of cassio committing atm, anything else is rumour or unofficial. from what i see on twitter jeronimo cassio fereirra and carussca have a good friendship going and obviously understand each other well as they are from the same part of the world. We know carussca is here for another year and cassio has signed on for 2 more. You get the feeling from jeronimos interviews that he has had some clubs he didnt enjoy and that if he found the right club/ city / team mates he might just stay a little longer. I cant see him going to another Aleague club and the word is we signed him for as little as 100-120k for the season so i would like to think there is a high chance of us keeping him for the future with a tasty payrise

zoid wrote:RedsUnited wrote:Anyone hear anything more about Jeronimo penning a 2-year extension? I think there was something about it in todays 'tiser Yeah have read it in a couple of sources. That lawyer guy that was in an article a while back about how Argentinians are good value as the average player there is on less than here commented on Twitter that it was a $200k deal + house and accomodation. He seemed pretty certain of it too. Is Val going to start praising the club?

I hate the people who act like that.
Great way to make us all seem like arseholes.
To be honest i won't be booing Flores. He is a great player and did a great service to Adelaide United. He deserves atleast some respect.

He is going to cop it from all angles and if he expects anything less for signing with our biggest rivals then he is very silly.

Ok il bite the bullet here. Why the Flores hate? The bloke left to play in china for a season and wanted to return to A-League so he came to MV. If the rumors are true about Carlos ending up at united next year I am fairly sure he will not get the same treatment that you lot give to Flores.
