I notice Trump is evens with Biden on Sportsbet.

Looking even more likely the orange man will win again.

No. It’s just funny and I agree that Obiden is just more of the failed established elitism that does little for the people.

I’m just one of the darker shaded sheep in a sea of white.

So you are a sheep. Caught on candid camera!

Your own graph clearly showed sustained job growth under Obama post GFC.

By your own criteria that is a good thing for the people.

Stop lying.

Does anyone seriously think that won't happen?
The only thing I haven't decided on is if this is the end of democracy in the US but they're definitely on that decline. So much cronyism and gerrymandering.

I don't have a feeling either way. The way I see it either Biden or Trump can get to around 320 and it will 'look like' a comfortable win. The reality is while Biden is likely to win the popular vote by more than Hilary or could also lose the electoral college just as easily. That said if Biden can win Florida and Pennsylvania Where he is ahead it is hard to see him lose.

Probably the best way to put it is that Biden has more paths to victory than Trump but it will be line ball.

It looks like the overall trend for manufacturing is consistent with total jobs (with the real driver in leisure and hospitality). The Trump tax reforms also only went into effect in January 2018, so there should be a lag in any numbers from that policy (which might not have impacted this trend at all). As sydneyfc1987 says as well, the trend is also fairly consistent over a 10 year period.

Which makes Trumps job number even more extraordinary.

When jobs are lost due to a black swan event like the GFC, the recovery is initially swift because you are employing people back who are the most employable.  As you fill those spots you are left with more and more people who are less employable and that makes it harder and harder to get the jobless rate down further as quickly.

In fact Trumps problem was not actually having enough workers to fill all the vacant jobs!

Job Openings — Before the COVID-19 shock, a shortage of qualified workers was holding back hiring. As of the last business day of February, the most recent figure on record, the number of unfilled job openings stood at 6.8 million. At that point the number had grown 1.3 million  — or 22.7% — since Trump took office. The number has been as high as 7.5 million as recently as January 2019, which was the highest in the 19 years the BLS has tracked this figure. The number of unfilled jobs has exceeded the number of unemployed people looking for work every month since March 2018. In late February — two weeks before the White House declared a COVID-19 emergency — there were nearly 1.1 million more job openings than there were people seeking jobs

Just look at all the other numbers in there as well- can't be denied they're impressive ( ignore the bullshit negative spin on everything by Factcheck.org though

Umm no, there's plenty of signs that America is heading in exactly same direction as a number of post-war failed democracies such as Putin's Russia or Chavez's Venezuela.

Umm no, there's plenty of signs that America is heading in exactly same direction as a number of post-war failed democracies such as Putin's Russia or Chavez's Venezuela.

I don't see any similarities.

If you mean radical Leftists rioting and looting Democrat governed cities that's not how democratic protesting works.  That's a failure of Leftist politics.

Trump will either win or lose.

If he wins, then democracy will survive.  He's not forcing social change, identity and gender politics and a woke freak show onto anyone. You want to be all that, be his guest.

The Democrats on the other hand wish anyone who wasn't them didn't exit.  No tolerance, no middle ground, no compromise. No United States.

"Joe Biden should not concede under any circumstances because I think this is going to drag out, and eventually I do believe he will win if we don't give an inch and if we are as focused and relentless as the other side is," Clinton said in an excerpt posted Tuesday.

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/08/25/hillary-clinton-joe-biden-election-advice-401641

If Biden wins, Harris will soon takeover.  That's what will trigger a second Civil War.

I'm beginning to understand why Americans defend their Right To Bear Arms.

Is this what you mean:

https://www.theage.com.au/world/north-america/portland-mayor-pins-blame-on-trump-for-inciting-violence-after-man-is-shot-20200831-p55qsi.html

1."Yesterday's events began with hundreds of cars filled with supporters of the President rallying in Clackamas County and then driving through downtown Portland. They were supported and energised by the President himself" Wheeler said."

So fucking what? Trump supporters have every right to greet their President, and the President has every right to attend that city. That's democrqcy.

2. The BLM  didn't want that to happen and tried to stop it.   That's not democracy. That's silencing dissent, tryranny.

3.There are conflicting reports who instigated the confrontation.  In an earlier version today of that article they posted a Channel 9 video -since removed-that said it was the BLM that threw things at they Trumps supporters who then retaliated with paint ball guns and mace, whilst the written article itself said the opposite.

Yep it is harder to tell.  It will be close. The problem for the Democrats is that should they win, they have actually have no interest in half the country that didn't vote for them- the deplorables as Clinton called them.  You can't ignore half the country many of whom carry guns, and expect to keep it together.  You can imagine what happens next..

Exactly.  He's the trojan horse to get more moderates to vote Democrat..  But he''s also going senile and the Left knows this.  Their real President is his running mate.

I can see Biden being a 1 term president given his age, so Harris is definitely in prime position to lead the Dems next time around. I wouldn't call her left wing though.

This comment just shows you know absolutley nothing about Kamela Harris' history and you're just parroting the lies and fear mongering that we saw at the RNC nominations last week.

Don't mind stefcep.  He became bonkers a while back and he hasnt recovered.

Pretty good how he just talks about the charts and not the text around the article.

"😂😂😂 I never thought it was possible for anyone to be that stupid."

Wow, now we have someone defending that article 😂😂😂
