What position does Jordon Elsey play?
Was impressed with both Jacob Melling and Barker-Daish, so maybe they could replace Vido or Carrusca in event of injury? Both are better than Barbs IMO.
Why these guys weren't used more often last season was a mystery to me - but then I'm not the coach.

Melling is the next Barbiero. Doesn't offer much, but he's still young so I might be proved wrong.

Elsey is a centre-back and his passing decent too. I'd give him and Golec an extended look during the pre-season as our starting defensive pair.

For me, I think it's time to get Petrillo to hit up his overseas contacts again, and sign a RB from somewhere exotic. I still want to see Luso (Girona FC) signed...

I'm hoping to change the one on the left to one from tomorrow night ;)

Have only read good things about Gombau. Makes me nervous and excited. Just sucks we have to wait so long to see him in action!

Btw Kitchee are playing in the AFC Cup tonight at 10:15pm. Will be trying to find a stream to check him out.

Kitchee are playing in 15 minutes so I'm gonna take a look at how they play. Streams should be available in all the usual places.

I should learn how to read.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Gombau's there and they're the better team so far. Petratos looks to be the best player on the other team.

I would imagine the top 8 teams would be a league quality thought kitchee on paper is a lot lower than a league quality so it'd be interesting to see how au's new coach goes

Petratos was one of Kelantan's key players so it gives you an idea of the level.

Saying that, Kitchee play some good football. It will be interesting to see if Gumby can get us playing the same way at a higher level. [-o<

Ok guys seriously Harry Kewell yes or no ?
Now honest answers dont do the fuck kewell piss of kewell comments because you do not like the guy lol

Would you have him here for a season ? we know he wants football if he came back signed for us gave a full pre season and got fit i would have him.

With the world cup coming up he will want to impress and play the best football he could and i got a feeling he wont just want a pay check either could get him on normal wages even cheaper marquee wages then at victory.

djite

problem is for Brucey is that in the "barca" system a lumbering striker with a shocking strike rate who's best feature is to play as a lone man up front and hold up the ball with his back to goals isn't wanted. It requires fleet footed nimble one touch players who can use that touch to put the ball away when required.

I'd love to be proven wrong as Bruce seems to be a top lad and works his arse off but i can't see it.

Has there been any recent news about the AEC ownership? perhaps General might know more?

I've been thinking about it alot lately, particularly when looking at the fantastic new carpark that will be finished by the time the seasons starts. For those that haven't seen it, here is some happy snaps courtesy of the Sensational Adelaide forum.

Will hold 700 cars which would be absolutely fantastic for game nights if there was no events on at the centre, parking is one of the most horrible things about hindmarsh nights, and if this could be aided with the help of AEC, the ownership could prove a good partnership.

My main worries are things such as Crusty Demons and Nitro Circus. I attended a crusty demons show once and spent the whole night thinking how crowded it was for the riders in that venue. But given an outdoor event wouldnt happen in winter, it scares the daylights out of me what an event like this would do to our pitch during the summer season.

anyway, thoughts and news on this soon to be new relationship between the AEC and AUFC?
