I am also prepared to give Griffin & co another chance IF they stop with the cost cutting & allow the football side to do their job properly by making sure they have everything they need.
That has always been my beef
Anyway - I'm disappointed that Kosto isn't been given chance & unless he brings back a player that is going to put the bums on seats Mr Giffin has drove away, we have enough imports as it is. Lets use the next 3 spots to find the next Leckie/Burns

If they didn't we prob would not have owners again which would be a very bad thing. Its not good cost cutting but sometimes it is necessary

That is true but only rob gerrard and Griffin know what they are cost cutting sounds like griffin was not too happy about wsw getting 7 million in the interview.

Well, the new AEC ownership is slowly but surely starting to show its true intentions. already confirmed that rent has increased a significant amount. Now there is reports the stadium is being rebranded "Coopers Stadium", with the confirmation that AUFC still hold no control over security or catering I am starting to be very concerned.
It was discussed on the WATR forum, but to state it hear, surely the AEC knows that the clubs threats of going elsewhere are empty. Where else can we legitimately go that is an appropriate size for us and also complies with FFA requirements?
Just the beginning from my view point. How long until we start seeing outdoor events screw with out pitch?

I can only see two possibilities with the AEC mob.
1; United start playing entrancing football and are at the pointy end and end up qualifying for the ACL > fans flock to see them and fill Hindmarsh regularly > the FFA step in with their zero alcohol stuff, thus forcing AEC to pull their heads in > the SA & Fed governments step in and help out to foster relations with Asia, and tell AEC to pull their head in. - ( although with Tony Abbott at the helm I doubt the Feds will do anything to foster a relationship with Asia and help out " wogball " )
2; Nothing changes > fans leave and AEC and the other code that got a $535 million leg up laugh and continue to fuck us over.

Edited by redcup: 25/6/2013 03:56:49 PM I only see two as well, AEC raise rents until AUFC have to charge crippling fees, AEC raising rents until AUFC leaves Hindmarsh.

Oh yeah, I have resigned my position with AUMC Inc. No time mostly, plus I can no longer afford to give a shit - especially since AUMC Inc isn't going to do anything that I can see.

Not to mention buses 150, 157, B10, B12, 117, 118, 115 all drop you off either directly at the gate or 2 minutes walk. Along with the Trams offering free travel from Nth terrace to the entertainment centre for free.
IMO we have it far to good to complain about anything in this instance +1 You guys that are complaining obviously haven't lived in a big city.Adelaide traffic congestion is really an oxymoron. Edited by redcup: 20/5/2013 04:34:31 PMEdited by redcup: 20/5/2013 09:31:30 PM Thing people are more talking about if you take your car there is no parking i think that is my only complaint Oh and the friggen one way streets lol

Can see why you think that but I don't think it's the main reason. The AUMC has been largely ineffective. I don't know GA personally but I remember him posting about a small business he's trying to get off the ground. If I was him, I wouldn't be wasting effort on the AUMC when it's going nowhere too. I am against the letter and a lot of the negativity too, however the people that keep going on about the negativity are part of the problem IMO. Just leave it alone, especially in situations like GA's post where it was hardly a rant.

People need to remember that AUMC Inc =/= AUFC Pty Ltd. I have nothing to run and hide from with regard to my opinions, mcjules is right - I am trying to get a small business off the ground and I would prefer to feed my family than bash my head into a brick wall on a volunteer basis.

The club is keeping its cards pretty close to its chest on this one, I suspect so they can give the membership drive a second wind once the early bird discount expires. Gombau's interview also suggests the signings weren't 100% finalised but very close. There's been no shortage of speculation but I think there would be a very small circle who know who the 2 Spaniards are.

I wonder if one of the players is Pablo Counago, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pablo_Cou%C3%B1ago, who is leaving Kitchee to an unknown destination. That destination could even be retirement seeing he is 33. I am not convinced that he would be a good acquisition, probably the opposite, and I thought the two Spaniards were talked about as playing other positions.
