+xThe Sam Burgess story is in full on The Kennel for anyone who wants to read it. There’s two sides to this: Sam Burgess. What he did to his wife, unborn child, little girl, father in law ALLEGEDLY (box ticked) is sick and cowardly. But I will say, without excusing him, he’s obviously a very ill man mentally and MDMA and ketamine didn’t help. The second part of this story and with just as wide implications are the cover ups and deceit from pleeeeeeeeenty. Those in the club at Souths, who knew, who covered it up, who shouldn’t be involved in the game ever again and I think there’s quite a few. And the media who’s acting all so high and mighty today. Don’t tell me there’s not plenty who knew this story and if not covered it up (which I don’t accuse then of) at least turned the other way and played the “I know nothing card” (which I do accuse them of. PARTICULARLY at Fox. Burgess sat there on the coach next to blokes who pitch themselves as fearless and always breaking the big stories. And quite a few of them have broken controversial stories and damn the consequences. Yet these blokes are now gonna tell us they knew nothing, or if they did they had a reason not to report it...... The detailed article is pretty damning and seemingly doesn't waiver from the facts... https://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/nrl/drugs-sex-domestic-violence-nrls-dark-coverup-for-rabbitoh-sam-burgess/news-story/abfa9694484bcca38ae70f5a9fed2b4d

You'll know when and if it happens because Tony will grace the pages all revved up and ready to boogie.

+xNo news on the 3 Board members quitting last night???... but Grub Rothfield said they would???... I can find 100 misguided souls who think that you will not shout Villi and I drinks. But the majority of the Bulldogs membership doesn't doubt your generosity.. So a story on Burgess doesn't get coverage until well after the event, while a storm in a teacup with a handful of vocal members gets plenty. Dunn was the only board member who even bothered to comment.

And to think of all the bother our club got into for a couple of guys taking their gear off at a private party. There really can't be too many lower forms of life than what passes for journalists in the NRL.

Not to mention a promising singing career nipped the bud .... somehow that phrase seems to make me feel uncomfortable....😁

+xTolman might be a good fit for the Broncos, defence in the middle is a major issue for them, they have little SC to spare, Manly is the other club with suspect defence. Lol. I'd love to see Tolman get in DCE's way at first receiver...... DCE will rip him a new one and will do it I'm full view of cameras... can't wait

In my opinion salary cap cheating is one thing, but these kind of cover up of human abuse crimes are the biggest hypocrisy in rugby league..... And this not the only case.....

I am in a dilemma here at the moment. I don't want Penriff to win because firstly I would like that win streak to stop before they reach the Dogs target and secondly they are nothing bug a whiney bunch of girls that are always crying for a penalty (at any cost). But I don't want the rorters to win because.... well they are the rorters.

NRL coaches don't have any confidence in their captains. Every time there is an on field decision to be made instructions come down from the box.

+xMarki, are you sure? Just look at the last rorter we acquired. He busts the line ODF. His post contact metres are huge and he doesn't get rolled on his back. Doesnt play huge minutes but we need to move away from the obsession of 80mins of powder puff forwards.

Why teams win and loose doesn't always boil down to a simple one line answer. Fundamentally the 2020 squad was weak, team selection and preparation was poor, bad luck and injuries account for the rest. At times some of the attack was great at other times they completely lost their way. I'm confident Barrett can turn things around especially with a few more good signings.

Has Lynn Anderson and John Ballesty been sighted outside Belmore Station with their empty guitar case containing a few scant coins....and a big bloke vending hot dogs in tow?

We unloaded 8. They must be replaced from outside or within. Not too many announced yet.
