+xWhat are everyone’s thoughts on Gary McIntyre? Could he put his hat in the ring for the board? Would anybody care if we cheated the cap again?
I remember back in 02 when we looked like signing Craig Gower to be our halfback. Then the salary cap bullshit. We would have had one of the strongest teams in the game if we weren’t caught out. Could McIntyre bring us back to the good old days?
What honestly can we hope for now days? He has always been chatty at the AGMs I have been to and I still haven't made up my mind whether his main interest is Gary McIntyre or the Bulldogs. Though if you are looking for someone with humility he ain't the go.Personally I find him a little glib and insincere.

What honestly can we hope for now days? It was not long ago we actually played in two Grand Finals.. if we had managed to pull one of those off then the club would be in a different position now.. The club seemed to have been desperate to win a comp under Hasler and it has now come home to roost.. Old heads maybe the go I will even bring back Turvey or One of the Hughes.

Unfortunately zoz in 2012 we were against a good side in melbourne, but we did fight back. In 2014 different story. It didn't natter whether it was the Bulldogs, Penrith or any other team, souffs were always going to be given preference on calls in that game. The bell ringing bullsh!t at the start gave the ruse away.

Six reason why we want Anderson gone The grievances behind the push to have Canterbury matriarch Lynne Anderson ousted as the chair of the football club can be revealed. The group of disgruntled voting members behind the extraordinary general meeting, where a vote will take place to have Anderson removed, have outlined a list of six issues that, in their opinion, make Anderson’s position as the club’s chair untenable. Fellow board members John Ballesty and Paul Dunn, who were part of Anderson’s ticket in the 2018 election, are also in the firing line. In a statement from the group, the grievances were listed as follows: • The Laundys need to understand having their name on the front of the jersey is a great privilege and not a right. • The members and supporters have concerns that board member John Ballesty’s business arrangements or partnerships are potentially a conflict of interest. There must be more clarity in regards to the Laundy Hotel Group’s sponsorship value. • The notion that we need to look to our past to somehow point to the future shows the directionless and lack of imagination of the Anderson-led board. • Anderson has shown no interest in delivering on any of her 9 pillars plan points she took to the 2018 AGM. We would like to see a detailed strategic plan for the club in the future. Anderson has failed to show vision for the club which was one of her 9 pillar points. • Anderson’s board displayed no family values in their treatment of coach and club legend Dean Pay. • The current board needs to provide clarity over the true arrangements with Mounties. Such a monumental decision was made without member consultation whatsoever and does not reflect the Bulldogs way. In September, a report revealed Ballesty had failed to disclose to other board members that he co-owns a hotel with Arthur Laundy, raising questions about a potential conflict of interest. Laundy’s pub empire, Laundy Hotel Group, agreed to become the club’s major sponsor until the end of 2022 in late July. It was confirmed that Ballesty, at that time, had not disclosed his business partnership with Laundy to the entire board. The group behind the EGM is also frustrated with the club’s partnership with Mounties, the colours of which will replace the blue and white of the Bulldogs in both the Canterbury Cup and NSWRL Women’s Premiership competitions until at least the end of season 2022. On Saturday, it was revealed a number of current sponsors would consider walking away from the Bulldogs over concerns of the direction of the club and the influence of Laundy Hotel Group at Belmore. That news came after The Daily revealed the Laundys could reconsider their agreement if the political infighting continued at the club. Earlier this month a requisition with 116 signatures of voting members calling for an EGM was received by the club. The Bulldogs have 21 days, from when the requisition was received, to call a meeting where a vote deciding the future’s of Anderson, Ballesty and Dunn would take place. It is understood that other than an acknowledgement that the requisition for an EGM was received, no one from the club has reached out to the disgruntled group in an attempt to broker a peace deal or at least find some common ground. It’s a mess all parties want resolved before incoming coach Trent Barrett arrives at Belmore in November. NINE PILLARS PRESENTED TO MEMBERS DURING 2018 CAMPAIGN Engage with members and fans Implement a new management and leadership style Introduce proper governance, process and accountability Become once again a Best Practice sporting organisation Entrench our Bulldogs culture Develop our people Develop a new Strategic Plan Focus on our Junior League Bring respect back to our club

Des inherited a fairly good squad and reasonable lower grade depth. No one said that given talent Des couldn't coach. Rules around that era allowed a lot of wrestle, and block plays which in many cases were obstructions, that style suited Des.

3 points on the salary cap scandal.
1. If you are going to cheat the cap, don't document it on a piece of paper and leave it where a journalist can find it. 2. Jouralist was only digging becuase oasis was a shambles. 3. Our actual SC squad was ordinary, very few people understand that.
Given 3. a) we were paying well over the odds for fringe first graders ... my guess. b) we were paying market rates and all clubs were well over.
With the SC we were definitely stockpiling experienced fringe first graders, we did get an advantage, depth is underestimated. But the side was never quite the star studded team people imagined it to be.

+xthe football club constitution needs a revamp Everything is dated, tne leagues club is both a blessing and a curse. I am glad we have Hill and Barrett. I also rate Ballesty,. Apart from that there are too many clueless people with strong opinions and big egos, who think they know what is best for the club and think the leagues club is an ATM.

+x+xDman.... what’s the bet nothing will be spoken of on NRL 360 about that grub Burgess tonight! But the Dogs boardroom battle will get plenty Surprisingly, pisshead buzz wasn’t holding back on the Burgess issues, but that drop kick Hooper clearly was trying to spin things in Burgess’s favour the fwit What was Hoops argument? Burgess didn't do it? Or what he did was fine?

In relation to the Laundy group not paying to be on the Jersey this year, what do we think it was worth?
It was towards the end of the season, we were not in contention perhaps featuring in a handful of free to air TV games.
What matters is the total deal. No idea on that, but I would hope that the overall deal is better than any other offer we got.

Pisshead even went on to say the Souths culture of Walker/Gray drugs issue, The USA pre season issue, Inglis drunk driving issue, Walker pre season cover up etc.... and again, Hooper shot him down

+xUnfortunately zoz in 2012 we were against a good side in melbourne, but we did fight back. In 2014 different story. It didn't natter whether it was the Bulldogs, Penrith or any other team, souffs were always going to be given preference on calls in that game. The bell ringing bullsh!t at the start gave the ruse away. Your not wrong there 2014 definitely was for Souffs to win ... Even them running on first you knew how the story would end. Just getting there was actually exceptional great for the club ..

Looks to me like the balance of the Villa side is better, multiple attacking threats I'm optimistic both our clubs can kick on and stay clear of regulation this year.

I think it was 3 or 4 deflections in total..... about time Villa got some luck.

I recon all signings need to be done by mid-november at the latest. Things should step up from here, especially as teams are eliminated from the comp. After the GF, Barrett should be able to start work. For us pre-season probably starts at the start of December. Players in semis or reps teams probably get a few more weeks off. #BringOn21.
