+x+x+x+xThe Herald just announced that Lynne Anderson, Paul Dunn and John Ballesty are all resigning today. Let's see what the ramifications of this are... Let’s see if all the bickering will end now....? Hope so. Whether Laundy takes his bat and ball and goes home I think will be the determining factor. If we end up several million worse off because of his depature I can imagine a fairly sizeable faction arising against the current agitators (and so beginning the cycle all over again) :( I hope Laundy hangs around, should be good business for both parties. Dogs fans are honour bound to drink in Laundy pups .... pagging Dman ... i have no problem in drinking at Laundy hotels..... during the mid 00's i was a regular watching the 3 x Super Saturday games at the twin willows bass hill as i dint have Foxtel... Is Crossroads a Laundy hotel? Thats my local now...... comes with Covid and all

I admire Anderson, Dunn and Ballesty for standing down as it shows their commitment to lead by example and put the Club first and foremost which is more than can be said about the agitators. On the subject of who will win this years Hollow Cup Claytons premiership, I unfortunately don't care for any of the contenders. There has been some very valid observations that I agree with such as the rorters and the lemons being first out the door unless by some miracle of miracles they are six agained into contention or falconed by a trainer who shouldn't be there or six again cancelled into a winning try scoring position. Souths are not strong enough. Penriff and the Clappers would have been my choice except the Tamau incident that saw Thompson outed for 4 weeks because he was trying to draw a penalty has lost any respect from me and the Clappers, well if not for CHN they would have been my favourite but fvck him, CHN doesn't deserve a premiership the traitor. That leaves Melbourne what do you say except fvck 'em and that annoying cvnt C Smith. Go the Dogs in 2021.

They are afforded a larger SC by the NRL who turns a blind eye to back door deals and they use it to full advantage. They do things within the parameters that they are given. Its not their fault.

Marki if were fair and above board don't you think all of the teams would be taking advantage of such a loophole. Don't you think it was a little suspicios that the chooks were under the cap with an almost international capable team yet we were over the cap with an almost reserve grade side. Let's for arguements sake accept that the chooks were bona fide and cap compliant. Then the Dibbies were taking our club for a ride and a lot of skullduggery was happening behind the scenes. It must make one think that if the agitators that wanted Anderson and co to step down, are part of this previous heirarchy, then those that are left must make sure that absolutely no person from the Dib era return to the board.

In answer to your question I call them the rorters because I believe that is exactly what they are. They utilised a loophole to gain an unfair advantage and that's a rort. Plus they have rarely had to face an opponent on an even playing surface, even the refereeing hasn't been totally unbiased. Melbourne is in the same category except they were caught trying to unsucessfully emulate the Eastern Suburbs method of creative accounting.

What i was alluding to is that they are "allowed" to pay overs for players and in that sense they aren't rorting anything. They are completely within the rules afforded to them. If anyone is a rorter.....it is the NRL that allows them to get it away with that shit.... Everyone jokes about their sombrero, everyone knows they are paying players behind the scenes or with other forms of payment, yet no one stands up to call them out for it. Not the NRL who know about it, not the media who knows about it, not the companies in question who know about it.....

What a crazy day. I’m surprised they stood doesn’t. But I’m happy they did. They took one for the team. Good for them. Now the board better hurry up and sign some talent for next year.
As for the premiers this year. Panthers are certs

+xThey haven't had "the loss they had to have" If they do lose one, you can bet it'll be followed by everything from "Why did we let Maloney go!" to "Bring RCG back!" to "Sack Cleary!" & "I blame Gus!".

Gus doesn't get everything right, but overall the Panthers do a lot right. We are going to have a battle to sign Burton, Panthers are very keen to keep him.. There was a rubbish article suggesting that we were after Woods, Moylan and Dugan, I assume that it was written by a Sharks fan. There are odviously a few red herrings and joke rumours doing the rounds.

What I never understood was Phil Gould being nicknamed "Gus" - after the character "Gus the Snail" from the kids show "Mr Squiggle". Edit: I found a picture of the ridiculous looking thing : https://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fi.pinimg.com%2Foriginals%2F10%2Fe6%2F59%2F10e659d4a1f0d48fc13e1e4b48993f15.jpg&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.pinterest.com.au%2Fpin%2F558094578792786285%2F&tbnid=MptHhluS4VTO2M&vet=12ahUKEwi_7-3ihKTsAhWMVysKHfAJAXQQMygGegUIARCuAQ..i&docid=YhRh9DgaOtoAIM&w=500&h=375&itg=1&q=gus the snail&ved=2ahUKEwi_7-3ihKTsAhWMVysKHfAJAXQQMygGegUIARCuAQ

Moylan is a strange one...would definitely say no to all 3 but he has ability just doesn't strike as a team player Some of the ex touch footy players are prone to running across field, forcing plays in attack and missing tackles, occasionally they have a game where they go great in attack. My golden rule is no more than 1 in a squad, Moylan also has injury issues. I am hoping that the article was a joke, I can't see how a fan would know who Barrett was looking to sigm. I'm no to all 3, Woods is one of the more disappointing buys the club has ever made.

Over the years I have noticed a lot of teams have failed to fire after having a week off. I don't think Penrith are any different and their fans need to brace themselves for a disappointment.

Pending announcement always calls Woods soft.

Will see ... this can go either way... if the 2 teams playing this week bash each other, the team with the week off has the advantage. The team with the week off may start slow. Penrith are young, enthusiastic and full of energy, they may lose a GF due to inexperience and running out of gas. I don't particularly want any of the other teams to win.

Best is play every week without injuries. Problem is can't guarantee no injuries. Also mass resting of players especially by Storm may have an impact

Penrith wont be affected by the week off. They dont play the game to win 8-6. They play the game to score 32 points and concede less than that. A team with that mentality is hard to be affected by a 1 week break.
