I've never had a beef with AC, and I'd venture that the vast majority of AU fans feel the same way or are indifferent. The vast majority of butt hurt is a one-way street from AC fans towards AU IMO.

What does Adelaide City have to do with it? Yes many moons ago they were Adelaide Juventus but that's where the common ground ends. You'll find the majority of AC supporters in the SA Premier League are also AU supporters. Die hard Juve fans are a different story. That's what you saw last night.

Is Costa the new Monterosso or am I being a little harsh on the lad? Handy at NYL level, all at sea in the A-League.

I was an AC supporter and go to their super league games occasionally as I live within walking distance to their ground so I have no beef with them either.

Just a comment on the whole Juventus/AC link, who would the AC supporters support if AC were playing Sydney FC with ADP? :-k Would they cheer ADP's goals and boo everything else Sydney did?

Like I said would have been a super weird night!

Did you ever attend Adelaide City games? Used to see over half the supporters wearing the Italian Juventus merchandise. I'd say there is a very strong correlation between support of both clubs.

Not only did I attend but I also played for City in my junior years. Black and white. I've seen people wear Liverpool tops at AU games and they are both Reds. No big deal.

I've never recently been to an AC match. This Kosta kid plays for them & scores reasonably frequently doesn't he?

Last night he didn't do much, but I suppose getting your body in the way so the defender has to wrestle you out of the way thus earning a penalty is OK. Other than that I didn't see him do much, except make a poor impression of a man running at speed.

How the defence morphed back into one playing a high line & conceeding goals and not beating 10 men when a goal up with about 8 mins to go are total mystery's to me as well.

Not too big a mystery to me, turn the ball over unexpectedly just in front of the defence when we're trying to play out and it's an easy ball in behind for someone to run onto.

Exactly we were not paying like the team in the last 4 weeks but like the team that started the season. Could of been though because we had 4 normal first eleven not starting or injured near the start.

Also has a guy who could not even run for 30 mins on the field.

Also just a quick not if Mabil cannot use hes left foot dont put him on the right of midfield so many chances lost or lost the ball trying to get onto his right foot all the time.

Costa i think is to early to judge yet he obviously does not have much speed at all so im not sure if he fits the game style we look to play. He seems like he would be a peter crouch type player hold the ball up then look to score headers from crosses.

Well injury and young socceroo's call ups have obliterated our squad for the match against Roar which is a shame.

We currently sit 8th yet are only 6 points ( 2 wins ) from 3rd place. Im not so big on calling this a must win game as 9th place -->3place is still anyone's with half a season to go.

With that in mind i feel this is such a big chance for the younger squaddies to get a run and it will play dividends for the future. Last week against sydney Gombau had 3 of the 4 attacking players on the pitch 20 years old or substantially younger and expected them to slot in seamlessly.

This game is absolutely a game we can win. But i think looking at the bigger picture for the future this game is even more valuable.

I doubt it i hope but i doubt it against brisbane they are playing better then any team playing better then when we played them last

and without all or some cirio djite JBD ferreira carrusca already adding to the missing cassio will be hard very hard that is our number 1 midfield right there we have no creators out all if none of them are back.

If you were on www.wearethereds.com.au you would have known weeks ago!

It's just an alternate revenue stream at the moment.

Not too happy with this as
1) long way from Hindmarsh
2) Why lease a pub. Pub's are struggling and this pub is a bit of a hole

Much rather they invest in a good training ground and build their own drinking/watching/socializing venue. Or as another website said Buy some flats'
I'm sure there's a reason Sturt SANFL got out of it.

Still, I hope it works out for the AUMC

Can anyone pick the starting 11. This is horrible.

It's just an Alternate revenue stream for AUMC, forget the Pub itself think pokie $$$. There will be minimal rebranding apparently.

Ideally we would get the Joiners however they should have bought it for a pittance when it was a dodgy shithole, now Dave and Co have spent a lot of money on the place and it's unlikely they would let it go for cheap. Hindsight is always 20:20 however its a step in the right direction to get AUMC off the ground so we can access some government funding.

Sub Griffiths on for Mabil at 60 min mark as he's a bit underdone.

Not sure if people have noticed but the club is advertising free clinic on coaching that's going to be run by Josep himself. The info is on the Facebook page so ill link when I get to my computer.

Anyway it sounds awesome. Great initiative would be great for Junior coaching in adelaide.

Look to next week if you're expecting a result basically. For some reason I'm really quite excited by the prospect. If we can match Brisbane at all with such a barebones team I'll be very happy!
