Are these the new rules that came out a fortnight ago meaning he could still change to Scotland if he wished? How many caps would be need to forfeit that? 

I haven’t heard of these ‘new rules’. You would think playing in a World Cup qualifier is a lock! So can we get he who cannot be named back? This would all seem a bit silly. 

I think it had its own thread within the last fortnight. Pala will have it somewhere. The idea was a player may change until a certain number of caps are reached among other requirements.

Is this it? Does this mean Souttar needs 2 more qualifiers to reach 4 caps and be locked in? He played against Nepal and Taiwan. 

I've seen no footage but it was a bloodbath for Leckie today. 11 announced led to his being massively criticised then to be subbed at HT. The criticism then was directed at the team in general.

The good thing is the coach still showed a lot of faith to start him and the entire team were bad. I don't think he'll get another start soon.

I think the rules are quite sensible, as someone who played a few minutes for a country when they were very young but was never looked at again should have another chance within reason. I see it benefitting smaller countries more than bigger ones, say for example if Alex Robertson turns out good and chooses England, but then the hype wears out.

I would like FIFA to make it certain if friendlies count or not for the three games in the new rules.

Souttar just needs one more A International cap to lock him in now as he has since turned 21.

He's so close to being locked in already, the Taiwan game was literally just a week before his 21st birthday, so it'd be quite a coup if we lost him.

He's locked in for Scotland as he's well over 21 now, we had our chance to cap him.

I watched the first half of the game and he was actually playing pretty well, he nearly set up 2 goals (should've been a scored). I think their fans just have it in for him for some unknown reason

Agree on both, what bright spots we’ll have to follow each week if they cement their respective places! And hopefully Arzani gets decent game time tonight with FC Utrecht. That would be three youngish creative players at decent levels at decent clubs. 

Sheffield Wednesday fans raving about Mas Luongo - again playing 90 minutes at CDM - many predicting him to be their Player of the season. Surely he's the first cab off the rank to play next to Mooy for the Socceroos?!! 

Kind of relieved Luongo has ended up as a CDM later in his career as we really need some depth in that position. 

McGree needs to kill it over there if he stands any chance of getting a permanent deal. 

The kid has great potential, surprised Sydney let him go and not giving him a chance in the first team but I hope he does well in the UK.
