+xRay Gatt reporting that Bozanic has returned to CCM. Edit: It has been announced to their members. He’ll add some much needed experience to what is a very young squad. Nice video announcement on Facebook.

I see that Belgium has now banned spectators from all sporting events due to covid. Let’s just say that worst predictions about northern hemisphere comes true and most leagues there are suspended, should A league teams be using our lack of covid cases and summer start date to aim for some of the younger aussies abroad to come back to the A league on loan for the season. I’m thinking of those who haven’t been loaned out but not likely to make many first team squads. Players such as Tyrese Francois, Peter Gwargis, Calleb Watts, Armenakas etc. They’d more likely get game time here as they wouldn’t be playing much, they can be enticed by relative safety of Australia’s summer and their development will continue. I honestly think in 6 months time those young aussies who have already returned for next A league season - Martis, Susnjar, Folami- could see their decisions as fortuitous. Is it too late to get more of these players back for next season? Would it hinder their development and chances of playing in current teams? Would they even be interested? Thoughts?

Its a great idea/proposition, but you've got to put yourself in the players shoes. I'm not sure i'd be correct in saying that those highlighted have their families living in Europe or at least settled. So it's difficult, especially now travelling internationally, compounded by whether your family is actually here or not.

Macarthur have a bunch of players on trial, one of which is Ali Abbas.
i know he’s 34, played for 3 other clubs and last played in Iraq, but I personally would be happy to see him back in the league.

Yaya Dukuly has left City and joined Adelaide on a scholarship deal.
He’s an Adelaide boy and Vaert coached him as a kid.

I listened to him speak on a Fox football podcast last year and he mentioned that he signed for a club over there. This article also mentions that he played in Iraq but it doesn’t say for which club. https://www.smh.com.au/sport/soccer/he-sets-the-standard-milligan-captaincy-was-a-no-brainer-for-macarthur-20201023-p567xn.html
