They aren't too bad, the picture with the filter makes the hoops look too pronounced when I don't think it is really that bad. I still much prefer last seasons though.

Was looking forward to an easy, fun and relaxing draw in contrast to the nervefest that was Sydney FC.

WATR user said something that I agreed with. One of the best things about Gombau was, in addition to being a tactical genius, was incredibly passionate and a lot of his enthusiasm and spirit rubbed off onto the players.

Amor looks and acts like a guy who wouldn't throw a water bottle at the ground in anger as he'd get his cardigan wet (not dissing his cardigan game, which is on point btw). Pretty sure the most I saw him do last night was mutter and shake his head in frustration. Apparently his English is even worse than Gombau's, which wouldn't help.

Still got my faith in him, though.

To call anyone playing that night ordinary would be a massive overstatement and an insult to the word "ordinary".

That match was a bad time for Amor to experiment with tactics, and playing the first half with Cirio up front and without Pablo or Kamau to go on the right certainly didn't help. By the time Babalj came on, it was too late; Victory were in complete control of the game and Adelaide were shitting themselves.

I would agree with that but i am worried how Hall will play. I kinda wished we still had izzo as he was a decent back up

The difference in personal coaching styles between Gombau and Amor is very noticable.... Gombau was volatile and passionate, always leaping to his feet and responding to events on the pitch. Whilst Amor is motionless and expressionless, saying nothing, reacting to nothing.

Wonder which one the players found more inspiring?

Guillermo Amor cardigan appreciation thread.

I was wondering whether Amor's pragmatism got AU the point last night where Gombau's passionate attack would have led AU to losing heroically in a game where MV looked the better team.

I did notice that the players weren't getting in the refs face, waving invisible cards and yelling at him like they were under Gombau. They seemed much more reserved, however due to the shit crowd (fuck off AO) they probably weren't as pumped.

After watching this game at Adelaide Oval, I felt wrong venue for AU Supporters , great for Victory supporters that's all you could hear. You need passionate supporters and MV have that.

Tactically Amor made one mistake on not bringing Mells on earlier his attacking style and playing the ball forward could have just made the difference.

Mells only had 5 minutes or so because he was away playing 3 games of U19s this past week. Encouraging sign that Amor felt he could throw him on considering the circumstances.

I was at the game and the Adelaide supporters were louder than the tards.

They're quite reserved over there as its not a place for outgoing risk takers hence why all the talented people move to Sydney, Melbourne and elsewhere. Much older population too.

Still mad about the FFA Cup ay.
