Familiar story though - against the top 3 sides last year (SFC, City and Nix) we put in credible and competitive performances (bar the one result) but struggled for goals. If Moon is going to be less rigid with his defence he has to fix the goal scoring.

According to the squad list, there was no 24. 34 was Alex Parsons, so possibly him? He scored the goal against Newcastle I believe. 

I am anticipating it getting much worse.

There are no flights from the Gong to Brisbane so unless they plan to bus it up to Brisbane they’re pretty much screwed, and the Nix have been inside the Greater Sydney area recently which means they have to quarantine on arrival anyway. 

It all depends on the good folk of NSWs now; the behaviour of the Avalon couple appears to be the cat that let the virus out of the bag once more - if there’s more selfish acts like that then we’re in for a long slog .... but NSWs has managed to control outbreaks before so it’s all down to people’s behaviour now.

What were your thoughts on any of the WU players anyone stand out?

Yep Alex Parsons will be a nominee for the Young Footballer of the year by the end of the season. He's a kid who stuck it out with Western Pride when they were struggling, went on trial at CCM played a few games for them and then went back to Brisbane and seemingly found his feet. you could tell he was a quality player even back then. Watch out for him lighting it up this season.

Good that Moon has given him a number of appearances in pre-season as well. Hopefully we see a focus on youth. 

I agree.It sucks that we cant have a proper draw with everyone playing each other once before playing them again.

Yep.MV and PG should be hitting the ground running after their ACL games.
But it’s hard to find any easy games even if you add in the NSW teams.
CCM maybe.But who else?
According to betting agencies and tipsters we are expected to finish 10th.

10th is surprising.  We certainly have goal scoring issues but I see us as solid midtable.  Bottom 3 seems a stretch.

He could be the X factor the team needs up front.
