+x+x+x+x+x+xKryslovic the f***wit at work muscling in on Wanderers territory. Wanderers don’t have “a territory” .... that’s Frank Lowy thinking.
Clubs thinking they have “a territory” is a barrier to pro/rel - we have to eliminate that type of thinking. Is Bankstown part of the "local footballing community"? I don't think anyone in Bankstown would call Macarthur their local team. People in this area would most likely be split between Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers. Bankstown is borderline between all three, I would say, and if Macarthur take the initiative then good on them. Claiming Northbridge is taking the piss, though. To get licensed to compete in the next ACL, if they were to qualify, they have to have a youth development system in their entity now or in an entity that is allied to their entity now. The Northbridge FC alliance satisfies this requirement. Football NSW should do the right thing and sanction Northbridge FC and boot them from all NSW NPL competitions (Senior and Youth). The fuckwits don't deserve a crack at the ACL

Bankstown was considered to be part of south west Sydney when I lived there in the 50's, 60's and 70"s. I have lived in Bankstown all my life and i am almost 40 and i believe it's South West but fuck being associated with Campbelltown bogans.

That link says nothing ffs.
Clubs do not have a god given exclusive right to a territory - if they did pro-rel cannot happen - WSW can define an area that they want to target but that doesn’t give them exclusive rights to it ... other clubs can operate in that same area so anyone saying “stay out” is thinking like Lowy did. And it’s anti-football thinking.

+x+xThe competition will not grow without finding a way to reduce ticket prices to increase demand.
Why would Macarthur FC need higher prices anyway when it is meant to have the best stadium deal in the competition? Something really doesn’t add up there. Macarthur has to pay its license fee off although it has been agreed that it can be paid over a longer period. They are getting a lower distribution than they were expecting and sponsorship is not as available as it was when they did their budgeting. Regardless of having to play off a license, these ticket prices are honestly a disgrace, for an away ticket I can fund two months of Kayo and watch every a league game over 8 weeks. Or I could purchase a platinum ticket for another $5? It so sad that this team has killed off there active support before it was even able to show up. The active support, away fans they generate the atmosphere and are the reason people attend matches.

Macarthur have announced their U20s team, the Northbridge Bulls (the rebranded North Shore Mariners), who will play in NPL1 this season and they have some excellent young talents on their books. Rory Jordan, Eddie Caspers, Lachlan Sepping, Emmanuel Peters, Bol Juach, Stephen De Robillard will play for them - all coached by Mile Sterjovski. Excited to see how they go despite their controversial formation.

Interesting, hope these guys have good seasons, but hope they get relegated because it is bullshit how Macarthur were able to get around this. Lots of attacking talent there, De Robillard from memory was in that same team as DRD at WSW, played at Hills last season, electric player on his day. Sepping had a good season at Marconi by all reports. Juach played plenty at Wollongong and scored 3 or 4 goals, Rory Jordan is an interesting prospect, doesn't have any real stand-out attributes but seems to score a lot.

NSM or Northbridge as they once were also should have had their board slapped in the face, minnows in NPL1 having just got there 2seasons back, I know many old NB supporters, have departed in disgust. Much of this had been reported or posted before but this is what shouldn't be occuring when a new Club comes along. Yeah right, must have the ol’ a football kulcha of doing things in today’s business of sport. I recall Melbourne Croatia buying their way in one of the top divisions so they can get into the NSL at the earliest. There was no professional soccer then either!

Money running professional sport is here to stay. Live with it.

ofcourse money runs sport today and long ago but it doesn't condone its right your not telling me anything new, my point is for a change the wrongs of the past shouldn't be allowed to occur today. I accept a new club coming in but there should be ground rules set to how they filter in to the systems/levels, small Clubs need protection from themselves not just the big bad wolf. How about a new Club from out of town regional links with a metro Club but all their teir1/NPL games will be played even further away from the metro Club as another eg. This is not right - oh but its about the money, forget all about the metro Clubs long time volenteers/supporters.

Macarthur FC@mfcbullsUnfortunately, due to the current COVID-19 restrictions across Greater Sydney we were unable to celebrate our inaugural A-League season last Thursday evening at Novella on the Park. Keep an eye on our socials this afternoon as we announce our award winners . #WeAreTheBulls

Macarthur memberships dropping today, seems like after last seasons sky high prices they are at a much more respectful and appropriate cost. Interesting to see whether there end of season form, new signings, improved prices and fingers crossed a new wave of solid marketing can make a major difference.

Yorke has bought Russell Latapy in as an assistant. The two played together for the T&T national team for a number of years.
Latapy was the manager of the Barbados national team.

APL doesn't have the money to add an extra club at this stage. They are stretching the limit to add the two they are adding over the next 2 years and extending the competition to full home and away.

Macarthur is a piss poor excuse of a football club, still cant wrap my head around how they got a license over some of the other franchises.

I believe Macarthur can succeed in the medium term. Western United I have no hope for, none at all all. But the owners have to fix their ticket prices.
