+xCarlos Vela talking about going to Australia, don't know how it came up and not sure about his contract (i think he's out of contract) would be a great pick up. But he probably just wants to go on holiday. Would be great to have vela here. An ex gooner so he'll have some arsenal fans come out and the Mexican contingent will be out in force

Bernardo Oliveira has signed for Adelaide United for 2 seasons, was at Melb City so im surprised they let him go but another decent youth prospect the reds have got also he's the son of former great of the club in Cassio so if he can be half good as him then he could be a talent.

+x+x+xCan't believe Victory let Markovic go! I know Traore is basically your best player, but hard to take losing a promising youngster like that. Was he on a Pro at victory or just a Scholarship?. All good I should have read to the end of the thread. :) Twas on a scholarship. Are you sure?

Nothing was said by us WU have announced they have signed him but he wasn't let go as he wasn't actually contracted to Victory, he was just a youth team player. According to Joey Lynch, they did everything they could to keep him as well. Yeah we did. We offered him a pro deal. But wu offered more money Are you sure?

Can't wait for the upcoming transfer whereby we are all screaming out for:
Daniel Arzani Mat Ryan Alex Gersbach Tom Rogic Mathew Leckie Ajdin Hrustic Jackson Irvine Brad Smith Brandon Borrello Mustafa Amini
... to make a transfer, only for them to sign up for another season as an unused sub.

Irvine and Smith are playing. Wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world for them to stay at their clubs.

Hardly call that semi regular. As for Ryan, I hope for his sake and Australia's sake he finds a club to be a regular at. He needs to be playing. He is on the brink of Socceroos captaincy however he is putting it in jeopardy right now. There'd be no shortage of clubs across Europe where he'd be first choice.

Lesiotis has signed a scholarship deal with City until the end of the season.
Bit of a weird one tbh, can’t see him getting any game time there.

In addition to that, they extended Kerrin Stokes’ contract by two years. They also signed goalkeepers Ahmed Taleb and James Nieuwenhuizen on scholarship contracts for two and three years respectively as well as striker Max Caputo on a two year scholarship.

Apparently Red Star accepted a bid of 1.7million Euros for Degenek to join Lion City Sailors FC in Singapore but Degenek rejected a contract offer because he thinks the leagues quality is too low. Rumours he is back off to Abu Dhabi or China if they get an offer. I hear Singapore is pretty sick place to live but at 26 he is probably thinking about his next contract.

Lion City have just become the first pro team in Singapore and are heavily backed and cashed up, coached by Vidmar. Think they want to win the ACL. They tried to sign Delbridge, but yeh they are finding it hard to convince players to join them cause the SPL isnt that great

For what it's worth, Vidmar is departing the club, to go back to Bangkok Glass in Thailand. LCS are aiming to become a dominant force within Singapore, just like Johor DT in Malaysia, and United City [formerly known as Ceres Negros] in the Philippines. There'll always be players that want to sign for these clubs, as they can offer a ton of money, regardless of the standard of the league. Good on Degenek for rejecting them though, a move to Singapore would've certainly affected his chances of NT involvement.

I presume there is no salary cap anymore. Bobo and Le Fondre with Barba , Ninkovic and Baumjohann. So much for visa journeymen. 😀

We cannot expect a club to the magnitude as one SFC to confprm to a shitty small fry salary cap, made by a cricketer in a managerial role, surely not (scoff scoff)!! Who will i slap with a large Salmon first then? Hands up!

McDonald he left Brisbane.
Not really much of a loss tbh and given he’s left two clubs in two seasons in this manner, he could be a bad egg in the dressing room.

So Roar have signed Patrick Flottmann as an injury replacement from Sydney. He hardly played there so it’s hard to know how good he actually is.
I can understand why they’d bring someone in but if I were Trewin or JCP, I’d be pretty disappointed that Moon doesn’t feel confident enough in me to give me a chance when one of the starters is out injured.

I imagine we'd end up going with Neville, Gillesphey and Trewin starting, with either JCP or Flottmann on the bench. JCP may start on the left with Brown suspended, and then I suppose it'll be between Hingert and Brindell-South on the right.

Ryan Lambert has signed for Kuala Lumpur City.
Apparently he was born over there.
Also just realised Gallifuoco plays for them and bizarrely wears the #9 shirt.
