I don’t actually mind talking npl or even reading their opinions on football. But every thread lately has just been overtaken and just ends with the same points.

For those keen to establish a genuine football pyramid, the existence NPL supporters is a good sign - as long as we are wanting to populate the NSD with real clubs. But if you're keen to populate the NSD with more plastic franchises....
This is why I am always sceptical of the so-called "unity" ticket.
In the Australian context, the catchcry of unity is basically a call for everyone to get behind the closed shop concept.
A genuine football pyramid is actually at the polar extreme of this sort of "unity".

+x+xIt’s an Australian Football forum though, not just for NT and AL supporters... Maybe I should find an a league forum then I joined this forum during last ACup in 2019. I have learnt a shit tonne in last 2 years about ALL aspects of Australian Football since then due to 99% of members having diversified input and perspectives on our beloved game. We are ALL on here for the same basic reasons. We LOVE Australian Football with a passion in some way... 👍

Its about being inclusive and we're all for the love of the game. MCG, the game needs both sides of the leagues period. The derailing comes from both sides as well, no need to get picky and flustered. Just post to get it back on track and it will find its way.

See this type of discussion of calling aleague fans plastic as opposed to the NPL fans 'real' clubs or whatever that is doesnt create a positive message. We need all football fans on the same page but if you want to call out aleague fans like that you are sending the right message out here...

Aha let's be honest, you are talking about 1 poster here really (and he loves it).
The other NPL team fans (inc other SM fans) are fine and actually engage in the discussions with constructive criticism and don't just comment on every single thread solely to kill the discussion.
I mean, now Buggalugs is bored and back too which is always fun.
If they join forces look out world!!!

As I written in another thread, unfortunately there are some people on here who a very bitter that there NPL side did not get into the A/L, these some people are the ones calling it plastics etc. But if there team was given a chance to join the A/L, what they are going to boycott it, I don’t think so. there teams will have a chance in the NSD/ NSL mark 2.

Have started going onto r/aleague which seems to be a lot more active and seems to have better discussion

Never hurts to get another perspective or opinion on things... even if you really dont like the message... that supposed to be the purpose of this forum or am I mistaken? MCG I guess you mean me when you worry about the NPL ethnic hoards invading this forum, but in reverse shouldn't the worry be that Aleague related threads get 5-10 comments max?... Surely I cant be responsible for every Aleague failure?

Will that help with everyone's feelings? Its OK, you can all still call the ex NSL clubs ethnic and bitter and monocultural and foreign and non-inclusive, tin pot, pumpkin seed eating (have I left anything out?) all you want... I couldn't care less.
