Perth Glory have lost only one of their last eight A-League matches against Melbourne City FC (W4, D3); although, that one defeat did come in their last meeting at HBF Park (3-2, March 2020). Perth Glory have not scored a goal in the first half of any of their last five A-League games; the last time they went longer without a first-half goal was an eight-game stretch from January to February in 2014. Melbourne City FC are undefeated in their last four A-League games played outside Victoria (W2, D2); the last and only time they went longer without a loss outside their home state was a six-game stretch from May to December 2015 (W4, D2). Perth Glory are winless in their last six A-League games played on a weekday (D2, L4), while Melbourne City FC have won seven of their last eight weekday fixtures (L1). Melbourne City FC have hit the woodwork 12 times this A-League season, the most of any team in the competition and 10 more times than Perth Glory (2). Perth Glory boast a shooting accuracy of 54% this A-League season, the highest of any team in the competition five percentage points higher than Melbourne City FC (49%). No player has made more assists from dead ball situations in the 2020/21 A-League season than Perth Glory’s Neil Kilkenny (5, also Jake Brimmer).

I really can't see PG getting it over MC. Maybe at home they will lift that extra bit But MC are far better as a unit in attack and defensively. 3-1 MC.

Interesting stat; 3 players have scored a hattrick in this fixture. All 3 of them were for Perth. Smeltz 2012 (finals match) 3-0 Maclaren 2015 3-1 Keogh 2016 3-2 (away game)

I remember that game, Kenny Lowe got sent off at half time from memory. The two fixtures between the sides later in the season were even more crazier.

Tony Sage has been denied entry into the game tonight which will be the home game he's missed in 14 years. So instead he's appointed himself as a ball boy so he can go😂😂😂 https://twitter.com/TheWestSport/status/1389803284018483200Say what you want about the say but you can't deny his passion and love of Perth Glory.

Not that it matters but the bloke talks a lot of crap that's for sure. I know for a fact he has missed at least 3 games since 2017. Can't fault his passion though.

+xAnd Jmac is the fastest player of all time to 100 goals (Includes both NSL and A-League). Credit Ian P. Jamie Maclaren scored his first A-League goal on the 27th of October 2013 at the then NIB stadium against Melbourne Heart/City. He scored his 100th A-League goal at the same stadium between the same two sides on the 5th of May 2021.

City have Garuccio too? I dont get it.
If so many players have their contracts back ended knowing they will eventually get an offer in some other league and be allowed to leave so the contract is never paid or really used in the cap, then what is the point of a cap?

Tilio also mentioned he played futsal up till he was 13, crucial years of his development. Again why futsal isn’t encouraged enough in youth development instead of being neglected as a solution in technical and creative play which Australian players don’t have enough of?
Great talent to watch and very comfortable on the ball.

So Perth have only won 1 of their last 12 games with their only win coming at home against the Jets.
Is Richie Garcia in trouble?
