4:0 loss. Surely that's it for Kewell. A shame as the ACL was decent. Tough acts to follow but also he shouldn't have been expected to emulate Ange or Muscat.

+xKewell and his Yokohama team getting booed at the end of the game after losing again at home. Rare that happens in Japan, they are now down in 12th, be interesting if he gets another season despite the good ACL run. Sadly, it appears that whatever qualities it takes to be a successful manager, Harry lacks them. This was a big opportunity and probably his last. There is only so much rope.

+xAnyone know what's happened to Popovic in Korea as he hasn't played the last 5 games at all. I assume injury but I can't find anything online. Not sure, He was subbed off at the 39th minute in his last game with a heavily bandaged wrist

Lutz Pfannenstiel bags another for St Louis. Marcel Hartel from St Pauli who basically carried them to promotion is leaving. Just insane a 28 year old in top form takes that. A few other Germans and JGR at St Louis now.

+xMitchell duke started and scored and his team are 5 points clear on top of the j league For all the talk of moving duke on, there is an argument he is peaking in his mid thirties Promoted side 5 points clear in 1st is something else! Duke is a funny one. If he does well, it's very noticeable. If not, it's harmful as we need to get the other strikers playing. I think Yengi should be the incumbent. Duke, Iredale and Taggart are handy. Apo might fade or kick on even more.

+xDengy played 35 in an away win I'm not.sure what people think of his time in Japan Handy national team shortlister. Injury and error stunted his growth.

Portsmouth start at Leeds then host Luton then an AA battle at Boro then host Sunderland. BBC site with the best overview imo. Portsmouth then play WBA, Burnley, Sheffield United.

The opening weekend fixtures include Leeds vs Portsmouth in the Championship, Wrexham vs Wycombe and Birmingham vs Reading in League One, and Chesterfield vs Swindon Town in League Two.

Didn't realize that Italiano had got a move to Austria. GAK are actually one of the larger teams there albeit were in the 2nd divsion and have come up. With Bollard also moving to the Dutch league and obviously all the boys getting promoted we could be in for a quite a season next yr from an AA perspective. Just hoping now Iredale gets a good move

Union Saint Gilloise manager on the cusp of joining St Pauli. I wonder how he'll view Irvine. He's important to the playing group and performs well but the lack of decent distribution and regular stumbling on the ball might be tricky to get past. It's the same with Metcalfe and his mistakes despite doing a lot of good too. They'll have to impress.

The Bayern really does boost a player's status. Korean Lee, who was last loaned to Wiesbaden has been loaned to Hannover. He wasn't all that great for Wiesbaden I felt and that's where I find it interesting that if that's Hannover or Bundesliga 2 club requirements, then Irankunda and Iredale could or maybe even should be in that region too.
Lee may kick on next season. He's still fairly young. It's interesting to note that Hannover have been watching Wiesbaden and Iredale having Wolfsburg reserves and others in his CV not to mention being on a free and Hannover now lacking attackers, could be an interesting prospect. Until then Frank Juric holds the AA at 96 crown.

+x+xSo hang on, Balard never signed the Portugal deal? Or is it a loan to Netherlands? Good either way. Prefer Netherlands though as our players have cared better there and info from Portugal is often scarce. Relegation clause in the portrugal deal Smart.exciitng Dutch move it is.

Ballard to the lower end of the Dutch league isn’t a bad one. Don’t mind that.
NAC came from a long way back to win promotion playoffs, so his teammates might not be fantastic = playing time.

+xBovalina with his first-ever MLS start right now vs Phil Neville’s Portland Timbers. I’m watching on Apple TV and Bovalina is playing LM for some reason in a weird 3-1-4-2 formation. Wow go bovalina! Ballard to nac I think the a league is 1 quarter between league 1 and efl and mls is 3 quarters between. Watched a fair bit but now live in england so missed anything in the last 12 months

I know it’s only 1 game, and I don’t usually watch MLS, but my word the quality of this match is comically poor. Constant turnovers and unforced errors. It feels like a bottom-table A-League match in quality.
Fantastic crowd and atmosphere though I must say.
