+xI think he's right tbh. I just can't see how a fully pro NSD would be feasible. I could see them getting a national NPL comp up and running but the gap between that and the A-League would still be huge. If clubs with ambition, do their costings well and are confident of their management, then let them loose - prosper, survive or fail! Same as in any other competitive football/sporting professional league and business. Not only will be really interesting, it will also bring forward well run clubs up to promotion to the Aleague and COMPETE.

So YOU think that the APL, who by their very existence, are reliant on a closed league which can be joined ONLY by investing heavily in a license of participation. And who's only hope of making any financial return on investment for the consortiums they wish to attract is to have all of the soccer community in Australia engaging with their "product" and NOT anything outside the Aleague tent - Is hoping for a national division to get started, made up of clubs with existing fan bases and support. A division that may well, one day, be strong enough and well supported enough to begin making overtures towards the federation about being included via pro/rel to the Aleague. And I'M the imbecile??? hahahah OK pal.

Its totally irrelevant that he also does media/marketing pieces for WSW and also irrelevant that they are a franchise in a closed shop league which would stand to loose the most from another open pyramid league, competing with them for fans and one which they can soon no longer poach players from without paying fair market rate for.... Your right, I must have a tin foil hat on for sure. I should be focused on the statement by the APL condemning this fraud and their resolute support for the coming NSD - could you kindly link me to this?

A Second Division will be a low budget affair,because there wont be the interest from the general public to generate big dollars. There may be a few clubs that can appeal to a large enough community to generate revenue to compete at the top level.But the majority will appeal to a small community ,like a small ethnic club and could only compete on a National stage with a rich benefactor willing to lose money. There are obviously regions that aren't represented in the A-League at the moment ,like Canberra,Wollongong and North and South Tasmania.Should teams from those regions go straight into an A-League or a Second Division?Clearly this is a money question more than anything else.But would the bitters allow them into a Second Division at the expense of their ethnic club?How do they decide who goes into a Second Division? I’m just completely flummoxed by this whole situation. What are the guys true values? I think you have to know what this blokes done in the past to figure out this whole scenario. It is so confusing!!!
Unless he’s just chasing the coin or ‘fame’ wherever it may be, then he’s definitely not doing himself any favours doing this.

@mono generally speaking I don’t agree with your views. Nothing personal we just have differing opinions. But I’m with you on this one mate, he’s been put up to it. The article is literally suicide to his credential and his career, there’s something else at play here
