+x+x+x+xPeople outside Melbourne may not be aware, but in the local football scene you support 2 teams, your team and whoever is playing SMH that week. In fact I have a few Greek mates who you would deeply offend if you called them SMH supporters. Being so disliked, SMH supporters have built up this siege mentality of "everyone is jealous because we were Oceania Team of the Century" and you wont see Italians, Croatians, Maco's, Maltese or "normal" Greeks carrying on like a poor wronged SMH supporter, unfairly stopped from selling out their real club soul to become a plastic AL franchise just because they are Greek. Hope this background explains why old Mono does what he does and why SMH is hated down here. Dont expect him to change, our only hope is SMH go broke and disappear.. You have it the wrong way around, if you live in Melbourne you support either South Melbourne or Heidelberg, and then you have your local team that you watched in winter when the other 2 were in the NSL. A lot of Greek clubs are pro South, Northcote City, Brunswick City, Malvern, Clifton Hill just to name a few, perhaps Clifton hill more to Heidelberg these days. South’s popularity at local level always shows when the team travels to Oakleigh, Bulleen etc. Every match South plays away to another Greek club is essentially a home game and they tend to get their biggest crowd of the season. The only Greeks that genuinely hate South are Heidelberg supporters (fair enough the rivalry goes back half a century) and the ones that fled to MV. There are also 100 or so that toyed with the idea of following Melbourne Heart .. oh and 3, if you count '"Panayiotis" Kone the inaugural marquee superstar, that went to WU... The turncoats like AJF are praying we disappear as they believe their guilt will die too... let them suffer... lol That's funny coming from a wannabe plastic He sure is. Confirmed when he wanted a round robin football event on the weekend to decide who gets promoted. ROFL. But of course it could be Con.

So, more at CCM than Brisbane......fuck it would be a disaster if single market teams like Brisbane went down. Pro/rel can never happen.

Honestly terrible, no excuses for this, Redcliffe is way to small which just limits the crowds, Suncorp is way to big yes, but a final at Suncorp does not get 7.7k people in, it doubles that and has 15k. Should be better, very dissapointing

Because you cant fault the stadium as its great from what i can see on TV and can hold over 10k. But would the club really go back to SunCorp when they cant even sell out a smaller stadium for a importin match. Roar are a great club wtf did they do wrong to their fans? Ticket prices for finals to high?.

I agree covid played a role but still all those guys with the dairy cow bells have been waiting years and years to watch their team play their first final, I would have thought they would have jumped at the chance???... As for fans from Ballarat jumping over to their fierce long term derby rivals??? C'mon you know Ballarat is WU exclusive franchise economic sales region isn't it?

Should have just played it behind closed doors for all the drama it caused to play it there.
For all the positivity that Macarthur tend to generate, it’s almost a mirror of WU at this point in terms of support and results in their first season , and that’s for a team playing in their preferred stadium for home matches.
So far, off the pitch there is a long way to go for both clubs.

Well, if the intention of introducing a 3rd Melbourne club was to bring the one big powerhouse club to its knees, looks like they succeeded.

WU vs MV won’t get more than 8k IMHO. It’s in Geelong and Nomads United FC just haven’t found a way to get people interested.
