He'll try and capitalise on the vocal minority who have been opposed to Andrews' measures against covid, but I don't believe that'll be nearly enough; the Coalition would need to win 18 seats, which is mission impossible considering Labor are up 15% on the Libs for the primary vote in the last poll I could find for the next state election, and ahead in Victoria by a whopping 19% in the federal two-party preferred poll. Both polls done during lockdown number 6.

Reinstating Guy is proof of how shallow the Victorian Lib's talent pool is. I bet a lot of the people in Victoria whose politics lean towards the Libs who are at a point in life where they might consider putting their hand up to run for a seat are taking one look at the current climate and deciding to stick with their day job, leaving the Victorian Liberals with the rump of crooks and conspiracy nutjobs who survived the 2018 landslide.
